    Sold my vr6 today

The Major has sold Long live the Major Quite emotional really, I've owned that car for 11 years, was a mere 1.8 8v when I bought it in 2002. Since owning it I've fitted G60 with BahnBrenner 1.8 16v kf 1.9l 20vT 2l 16v on carbs 2.8 vr6 Lol, I get bored haha So this is the end of my Vr6 MK2 adventure, thanks for following my build thread and I hope you have all visited the VWDRC and MAJOR LUCKY DRAG RACING TEAM Facebook pages (go on give them a like) But never fear, keep an eye out for the new car, full on dragster with a Vr6OC sticker on the side for a reason

    My Black Magic VR6

My central locking pump has been sounding like it was slowly dying a death for quite some time now. It would moan and groan on every time I would unlock the car, only unlocking, locking was fine. I checked over the full system looking for leaks and found none, all was good so checked the pump itself. With my finger over the outlet the pump would still run on and on, so the pump itself wasnt making a good seal somewhere. Took it to bits and there are 4 little pieces of plastic or carbon or whatever that sit in grooves inside the centre of the pump, which the chamber is egg shaped and these pi

A few photos from the progress of work, Mr. Thomas were a little gone too far but maybe it's better. Besides, what you can see, engulfed in the chamber is 70%, the location of windows and part of the sheet was already wyklepana.

  13. I agree with daveyboy about the exhaust & I really like the handles mate. I'm thinking of doing them on all 4 doors on mine..... Finding them is the tricky part I'm finding though.

    Supercharging FAQ

Until you try some good brakes, you have no idea how bad the standard ones are :-) Don't get me wrong, we don't all have deep pockets, but seriously......4 pots and 330mm discs are what high performance VR6s need. Junctions and roundabouts come up real quick ;-) 312s with Ferodo DS2500s are about as good as you can get with stock bolt on parts, but AP Racing or Brembo is the way to go if you can afford it :-) I would also change the Master Cylinder for a MK4 24mm item
