Car Of The Month September 2013 (C00K)

Welcome to the long awaited return of the car of the month feature. This month goes to c00k. He has been a member on this forum since October 2011. He lives in the lovely area of Cardiff, South Wales. Age 27. Now for the car. It is a late spec MK3 Golf vr6.

 

Engine
Engine Bay painted in Flash red 

VR6 Engine OBDII, 97, late spec. 

Air con, evap, pcv, carbon canister, expansion tank deleted.
Throttle body coolant line deleted. 
Re-located washer bottle, and power steering bottle.
All looms lengthened and ran through chassis legs.
Battery re-located to boot. with 2nd batter and split charge system for air ride.

All new gaskets and seals.
New none air con belt.
New custom coolant pipes. 
Chains were done less than 10k ago and the guides still looked all mint.
New water pump, new crack pipe, new thermostat.
Re-conditioned thermostat housing.
Re-condition power steering pump.
Re-condition power steering metal pipes, and new flexible pipes.
Re-conditioned started motor. Mounted up-side down, making all the wire and connection on the bottom.
Re-conditioned servo and master cylinder. 
Re-conditioned ABS unit.
New rad with build in expansion tank, Dual slim line fans.
Injectors cleaned and rebuilt, new spark plugs. new fuel filter.
Gas flowed upper and lower inlet manifold.
Gas flowed exhaust manifold, heat wrapped.
De-cat, deleted silencer and twin back box
Ported and polished throttle body, with knife edged butterfly.
Gas flowed custom Intake pipe with relocated air filter, plus build in MAF flange and sensor. 
BMC CDA air filter, with force feed to behind lower front bumper.

Polished upper intake manifold, lower intake manifold, belt tensioner, alternator, spray bar, throttle body, intake pipe, dip stick pipe, oil catch tank, side of cylinder head,
All fitted with new stainless polished nuts and bolts.
Flash red pulleys and Dip-slick. 
Re-conditioned and painted - engine block, power steering pump, starter motor, alternator bracket, engine mounts, black.
Cleaned and painted gear box silver, polished all visible bolts on gear box, and polished the ends of the gear linkage.
Removed all sound deadening and heat proofing from bulk head,
R8 oil cap with red detailing, red HT leads, strut brace with colour coded mounts,
Braided fuel lines, with metal guide supports.

288mm Drilled and Grooved Brake Disks All Round, EBC pads,
Custom Air Ride Struts with Adjustable dampers,
Custom Top Mounts, and Heavy Duty Bearings,
Double – 2.5 Gallon Air Tanks
8 Digital Valves with Custom Digital Management,
Adjustable Inflation/Deflation Speed, and Wireless Fob.


Rims
BBS RC041s Split Rims, in Flash Red with Polished lips, Summer wheels.
BBS RC041s Split Rims, in all Schwartz Black , Winter Wheels.


Body
Mk3, 3Door, in Schwarz Black,
Twin Front Head Lights with HiDs,
Custom all Red Rear Light,
Heavily Smoked Fog Light and Indicators,
All Arches Fully Rolled and Re-sealed,
Custom Inner Arches,
Chassis Notch,
Colour coded VW & VR6 Badges,
Polo Door handles, Without Locks, Colour Coded,
Lupo Stubby Mirrors with Blue tinted and heated glass. 
Full Toad Alarm,

I did forget a few things off the spec too.

Red anniversary seat belts,

Highline handbrake and lever,
Custom front arm rest has been removed.

Also about to have highline colour coded rear spoiler fitted.

Love this one, always liked the black 3dr, looks spot on

Out of interest, what size are your adaptors and any arch work needed? I used to have a set if those BMW rims on mine many years ago, but cannot for the life of me remember what width adaptors I used! Whatever they where, they worked well with rolled rear arches and bone stock front wings on 205/40 tyres.
