Pics later on. This is how the engine is at the moment. Currently mocked up boost pipes to run without intercooler. Sorry for the poor lighting...More red boost pipes ordered this morning. michael5556 247 Posted May 1, 2012 Author Report Share Posted May 1, 2012 Updates...Boost pipes are almost done. Few more tweeks tonight and I will be happy with them. Fuel pump is in but I need to source some 12mm high pressure fuel pipe. All the body work got a bit of flatting down. I'm also on the lookout for a new grill and 2 alpine white wings please...Pictures.The front bumper need a few of the tabs at the top trimming off to fit properly as intercooler is in the way. michael5556 247 Posted May 5, 2012 Author Report Share Posted May 5, 2012 Cleaning the rain guttersHad to buy a new belt tensioner as I was tightening up the tensioner to put the belt on the pulley, the thread decided it didn't want to hold anymore and I have miss placed my tapping set so new one of eBay.New vs. old. Still need a sleeve and some new rubbers but it's basically on.Bosch 044 all wired in and all fuel lines done. Next on the list is coolant hoses and brake Lines. Gti international is the target... Gauges are in but wired up incorrectly. It cranks over but not firing up. I suspect that injectors are not getting power. Attempt one. Flat batteryAttempt two. Fuel leakAttempt three. Oil leak. Found that the 90 union for the turbo oil feed was damaged and spraying oil all over the turbo. Need a new 90 but struggling to get one at the minute. Pictures tomorrow. Still not starting.It's getting fuel but sparks not coming through so good. 4 were sparking. One was plug and one was a lead but we narrowed it down to the coilpack again! 2nd coilpack and it's not even running yet.
