10ish hours I suppose. Including, interior leather dressing, popping off the manifold and rocker cover for a quick mop off and dressing engine bay. All wheels off for arch, brake and suspension dressing, exhaust polishing and obviously a good polish and wax and other bits and pieces. Never enough hours in a weekend for me. ;)

So much easier now the cars off the road during the week though.

Whatever floats your boat mate! If you need five mins on your own with it, i'll park it round the back of the carpark so you can both have 'Quite time' together. Please just wipe off any spillage when you've finished ;)

Seriously though, they would be a bloody nightmare to live with on a daily drive basis.

I usually do 5-6 hrs once a month, i rinse it with my orbital jet pressure washer(its the daddy), shampoo with gilmour, rinse, chamois, clay, super resin, interior, polish off super resin, extra gloss, polish alloys, polish off extra gloss, polish glass, pack up, pray for a dry night, up early, p21s, stand back and admire, load high powered rifle, climb on roof, look out for pikeys and birds shitting from a great height, quick blast and chamois in the week if needed

Little very anal tip that I an ashamed to say ive done, it maybe a step to far, but as you cant polish in the sun, argos sell gazebo tents for £10 that are the perfect size to keep ur car in the shade and polishable

Ps if you find lifeshine kits cheap buy them and stock pile them, but hide them, my mates want a car as shiney as mine, but wont put in the £££ and time, so they try and blag my stuff most weekends!

When i do a "proper wash" usually twice a month (if ive used it) its a full day job. Start with TFR on the wheels in the arches then wash using the 2 bucket method with a Lambs wool mitt (No Spunges!) then leather off, polish/wax/gloss protection, glass cleaner n glass polish, back to black gel on all plastics, autosol on exhaust/battery cover/mani etc......

Polish inside of glass, wipe headlining with solvent based cleaner ("borrowed" from Audi Valet bay ;) its good stuff too) wipe dash n door cards with damp leather, Clean/treat the Leather Seats and hoover carpets and finally wipe over with lambs wool "static" glove to get rid of any dust left by the polish

I own up to bein a bit of SAD TWAT when i comes to keepin my clean i think i mite have OCD lol i try to at least wash n leather it if ive used it before it goes back in hiding in the garage

My escort on the over hand hasnt been cleaned while ive had it, oh sorry its been rained on a couple of times :)

My wife and kids keep me busy on the weekend' date=' so I only spend about 20-30mins cleaning it every couple of months!

This thread is motivating me to give it a good wash / polish / wax.

I have no wife or kids and usually get the boys at my local garage to give it a wash take 5 mins and only when she is dirty. She is away to get painted shortly so i will more of an effort after that.

I'd say about 6ish hours, including engine bay sprucing, on a weekend, weather permitting. Then obviously longer if i'm doing interior as well.

She usually gets a pre-wash pressure wash at work on through the week sometime.

Living in the middle of nowhere really f*Cks me off, as soon as my wheels move she is filthy again :(
