  1. I had this. new breather, new plugs, new leads and new rocker cover gasket solved it
  2. Isnt that top rad then the expansion tank one joins to it. whereas samco is all one hose.
  3. Ah sorry, I misread. Mine is giving me some issues. Where abouts was your loose connection? Dash side or engine bay side? Cheers
  4. Just out of interest how much work was in removing the conlog alarm?
  5. Comes up as a highline on My Car Check
  6. Mine gurgles a bit but I have read this can just happen. Not had mine over heat and still get warm air so I just leave it.
  7. Just grind or file flats onto the old tube. Use a load of release spray and the use a vice on the flats and a breaker bar on the cap
  8. Just dont do what I did removing the cap from the old tube and punch a metal toolbox and wind yourself on the vice when it finally loosens off haha. Not one of my finer moments.
  9. glad you got it sorted. Haven't had a chance to test mine as the new thermostat housing i fitted leaked when filling the coolant. so back to the drawing board
  10. always super helpful on ukmk3s Facebook group. Think i'll be getting a pair this year as mine are crusty
  11. Thats what I thought. I will try my originals and go dubpower if they arent loose. If so I might risk it. Cheers
  12. Cheers. I have been in touch with dubpower. My only problem is I trimmed the cable guides to fit the 8mm leads so didnt want to buy 7mm again for them to be loose in the guides and look bad
  13. Ah fair enough. I did have a couple emails bounced back to me from their email address but went through okay in the end. Was fairly recent too. Infact it has just popped up that they are online to chat on here, could be worth a go
  14. I couldnt find anywhere other than US suppliers. Can I ask why you dont want to use United Motorsport?Just installed mine this weekend
  15. Long story short I may need new HT leads. Spotted these on eBay but not sure if either will fit my VR6 OBD2 AAA engine. I have messaged the seller and they copy/pasted the info from the listing. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-PASSAT-2-8-VR6-IGNITION-LEADS-FERROFLEX-HI-PERFORMANCE-BLUE-HT-/121359033809?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c418fe5d1 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-CORRADO-VR6-PASSAT-IGNITION-LEADS-FERROFLEX-HI-PERFORMANCE-BLUE-HT-/121359037771?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c418ff54b What would be the difference between the Passat, Corrado and
  16. Should help with the stuff I need to so over the weekend
  17. likewise, I'd like a copy of the downloadable one please
  18. Seems to be only when warm. Gonna change the plugs and go back to my old leads and probably change the rocker cover gasket
  19. Have read some of the other topics but none quite match my symptoms Around a week ago I purchased some second hand manger ht leads. When swapping I found plug 1 to be a bit oily. Changed anyway and it drove fine. Now today at the end of a long drive the car would hesitate massively at 1.5k rpm in all gears to the point that it felt like it would cut out. There are no fault codes registered on my fault code reader. Obviously I will try either the old leads or new plugs and see what happens. Anyone else have any other suggestions? Thanks
  20. Tbh it was just an idea whilst I was taking front end off for installing external oil cooler that if it was a simple task I'd do them at the same time. I'll have a look when I get the front end off and see if i can be bothered haha thanks guys
