  2. Fantastic. So besides the duff heater matrix this is sorting itself out nicely. Hopefully is the same with a climatronic system that it works after the removal of the air con stuff
  3. Thats good to know. I can literally just remove everything engine side and swap the belt. Then once Ive sorted my heater matrix I will still have hot and cold air?

  5. Ah fair enough. My plans are to ditch air con at the same time if I can work out how along with a few other bits
  6. Sounds silly but I used Pritt stick and it seems to have held for at least a year

  8. Anyone got any tips for the replacement of the Heater Matrix on a car with Climatronic Air Con. I was hoping not to have to do it as I've heard its a nightmare but I think the time has come to tackle it. And does anyone have a part number for the climatronic matrix? Cheers
  9. Hi guys My heater matrix appears to be leaking into the passenger footwell. I'd like to bypass it for a couple of weeks until I have the time to rip the dash out. Any ideas where to get a suitable connector to join the hoses? I have samco hoses if that makes a difference so I don't want to cut the hoses. I have climatronic, does that effect my plan to run with the matrix bypassed? Thanks guys
  10. Checked for a cracked coil pack. Caused mine to misfire real bad and only when hot. Never cut out though.
  11. Happened again when warm last night. Have been advised that it is more than likely the coilpack breaking down.
  12. Driving home this evening when picking up revs to over take the car seemed to stop gaining power and sounding like it had hit the limiter. Eased off the accelerater and it would seem to keep doing this through the gears. Pulled over when I could and looked for fault codes on a cheap reader...none found. Started up again and all was fine and I couldn't seem to get the car to do it again. Any ideas?thanks guys

  15. Having recently done my first track day with a mate who suffered some oil pressure problems I would like to install a gauge to ensure this does not happen to me. What sensor do I need? 5 bar enough or 10 bar needed? Also which plug on top of the filter housing can I replace?Which is M10 thread? I have read I will need a relocation kit due to lack of space and air con, can this be confirmed? Thanks
  16. Looking to replace my sump soon for a baffled one and to install my wishbones at the same time. What size are the bolts that hold the sump on?ive read both m6x10 or m6x17. Will high tensile cap heads be suitable? Thanks
  17. I think it has reached 106 on a spirited drive. I am yet to see what this translates to on track. Surely if I have a thermostat plate then it wont allow for over-cooling but would just mean the money spent on the cooler is effectively 'wasted'?

  19. I wasnt going to, I was going to get a sandwich plate with a thermostat in. Is it advised to keep the original then?

  21. Thanks for the advice guys. I want to freshen up some cooling components at some stage, crack pipe, thermostat housing etc and maybe fit an external oil cooler as the intention is to do track days so will maybe get it all done at once with the front end off.
  22. Just checked over at lunch. Coolant is at correct level and is pink. No mayo on oil cap Dipstick is spot on. Hopefully just condensation and coolant level dropped into heater matrix or something.
