  1. from memory a 2 hose set was £15 regardless of length etc. full car set of 6 hoses would be £90. I have a 312mm disc but Porsche calipers. That's wha I told them and they made them.
  2. I wouldn't risk it. you can buy the genuine vw oil for less than £20. not worth the risk.
  3. HEL hose are very good quality. just ring them and they custom make them for you. Tell them what car they need to fit, then length will need to be about an inch or so longer than your originals, then I think a banjo fitting for the new calipers. When I bought I think it was £15 for two hoses.
  4. what bhp spins the wheels in third.?
  5. I had this problem. I bored out the plastic channels in the lead holders with a small sanding drum on a Dremel, but now I have gone back to standard leads anyway.
  6. nothing to worry about there just old.mine vibrated and when I removed them they looked just like that. the front face looked ok but the back was rusted to bits. whack a new set on and problem solved
  7. is it possible it was imported from perhaps Europe in 2000.that may then be the uk reg

  10. People don't get me wrong I'm more than happy with the display and function of the site on my IPAD, but I would like some way of having a one touch button on my main screen, that automatically takes me to the forum and signs me in etc. at the mo I have to go onto Internet, then search forum, then sign in with password every time. doesn't seem to remember me.
  11. hi I have recently bought on iPad for Internet browsing. does the vr6oc forum have an app? so I can access the site and my profile from the touch of a button instead of having to go on Internet and sign in etc. a lot of forum seem to have adopted this feature
  12. when your bearings were done your complete hub would have been removed. so as already said it could be the ball joint causing you to pull to one side. or the suspension arm to hub could be out! these two bolts have adjustment for your camber angle. Camber angle can cause the car to have a mind of its own. vibration ---- I would check the shell is mounted correctly otherwise could be wheel weights etc.
  13. picture 3 looks abut like an st220 mondeo! I think it's a rather tasty daily driver though
  14. I'm running a jetex stainless system and the standard Rubbers cracked and perished really quick. I bought two red power flex rubbers for the middle hanger. job done. very good quality and the exhaust doesn't move and wobble as much either. my back box hanger is the original vw one. for the price they are well worth a try
  15. ADRIAN FLUX are the best quote i could get. 25years old no claims £500 per year And all my mods are declared suspension wheels, big brake kit exhaust etc. Must be thanks to having an SY postcode
  16. wax oil on the threads. prevents rust and easy to adjust ride height in the future.
  17. Personally if i was buying some new rims i would be looking at schmidt modernlines. Dont know where any are available though sorry.
  18. I bought Synta silver last week from TPS shrewsbury. Sure it was only about 10 quid for 5 litre. If shrewsbury TPS stock it off the shelf im sure your TPS can get it.
  19. you might need to change your calipers it depends. if you currently have 280mm discs you need new calipers and carriers off a donor car. If you have 288mm discs currently you can just buy the caliper carriers.. I would probably just buy the whole lot to be honest..
  20. most people upgrade to 312mm brakes off, S3, TT, octavia VRs, mk4 anniversary etc. they will fit straight behind your audi comp wheels to
  21. Yeah it turns fine just making a whine noise when your static and turning wheel left to right. Might be on its way out
