  1. Unfortunately its a buyers market. Car is only worth what someone wants to pay.......... It looks nice enough, and has low mileage compared to most. I would like to think that you'd be able to get between £1200 and £1700 but reality is it would probably be closer to £1000 to £1200....... My thoughts others may come along and differ. Good choice on the R32 though!!!!!!
  2. Yep I agree they would be fun........ This would be better........ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-Quattro-UR-A2-Project-/260589915896?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3cac5e8ef8#ht_1362wt_1189

  14. It wont be the cat, If it was blocked, it would stop the car from revving through the rev range, lower revs would be ok, but upper revs no go and a massive loss of power to go with it. Have you cleaned the hall (cam) sensor yet, it's just behind the top corner of the coil pack? This is where I would start if you're happy that the plugs leads and coil pack are fine, as well as the fuel pump and relay. One other area to consider is the injectors, they may be slightly blocked. Run some injector cleaner through and see if that works.
  15. Was there any corresponding marks on the camshaft? this would tell you if anything had got in there at some point, but I'd think not as it would be all the way across at that depth........maybe an oil way or something, but Tony, Bundy, Paul and Ben will be along soon to throw some light on the matter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Couldn't watch it.........could only manage about 15 seconds then had to turn it off cos the bit I saw was CRAP

  18. Also insuring the car as a second car will reduce it further. So secret is.... Be Old, Add a woman Second car, Limited Mileage Increase your voluntary excess That should do it...If you can't do all, being 22 that counts out OLD, do as many of the others as possible....but most of all be HONEST....
  19. Need to be careful when skimming, you can unwittingly increase the compression of the engine, unless this is what you want to do. Also if you go too far, the valves may hit the top of the pistons, but this is a worse case scenario......
  20. Price??? can't sell without a price!!!!!!
  21. This is a good one...... Don't K&N quote something silly like 100,000 miles!!!!!! I would say depends on the weather and where you drive. Country side there's gonna be a load of bugs about, more so than the city. Dry weather gonna fill up with dust, and in the city it's gonna be full of carbon and dust crap...... But generally I would suggest at every service have a look and if it needs it clean it. Just my thoughts, also I suppose it depends on how sympathetic to the needs of your engine you are!!!!!!! After all, some peeps don't even look in the engine bay!!!!!!!!!
  22. SEMTEX........... gets pretty much anything off. Don't use a chisel or a screw driver, you will score the face. paper scrapers are good as they are wider than the face. I think there is a gasket remover spray, though I have never used it, I just use a scrapper and wire wool afterwards.
