    the metal clips that hold the handbrake cable to the axle on the mk3 vr6, can you still get them? i changed mine and bent the old ones and cant get them back on!! part number would help aswell!!

    scrapping my old golf gti mk3 shell next week, ive taken the alloys off but i am desperate for some old battered 5 stud steels to chuck on it to keep it rolling. doent matter if the 5 studs are not vw fitment, ill get them to fit with some angle grinder action! doesnt matter if the tyres are bald or steels are kerbed to hell, they will be going in the crusher! im near bromley in kent so local would be ideal

    as title, does the 16v gearbox fit the vr6? are there any advantages to this?

    cant find a guide on here!! the three random wires are near the switch to turn it on and off, but there no way long enough to go to the fusebox?

    right its very basic wiring! to the underneath of the seats, the switch and i have 3 spare clips, its a obd1 vr6 mk3 golf, are there 3 spare clips in the dash somewhere i clip these 3x clips on the heated seat loom into???

    got some new handbrake cables, what way do they pull out?? caliper end or the ashtray end in the interior??

    ive looked at the handbrake and wound the pistons out ever so slightly, now if the car is on my drive after about 5 clicks i cant push it back where as i used to be able to (my drive is a very slight hill) if its up on the jack after one click with some force as im a strong git who does weights i can spin the wheel slightly, the 10mm locking nuts on the ashtray are about halfway down the handbrake cable thread and not at the top of the thread, also when driving at a slow speed, i pull the handbrake up the back wheels wont lock? both rear calipers are new recon units. rear brakes were perfect

    one thing i find frustrating is that we dont have a breaking section on this site? you put them in cars for sale thread which i find a bit annoying! (6)

    yes it does the brakes are fine, its just the handbrake that side is weak!

    just had the MOT on the vr6 and one problem with the handbrake which i knew it wasn't right before the MOT after tightening it as much as i could. passenger side reads 160 which is normal, drivers side reads 50, both the rear calipers are brand new so its just the handbrake cable i guess that needs changing??

    as title, im wanting to take the engine out of my mk3 gti, my engine hoist had broken and i scrapped it with my last shell, so is there anyone near bromley in kent who i can borrow one off?

    exhaust is solid, changed a track rod end and its still doing it!
