  1. Are you willing to remove the items from the car and post them? I'l take all three including the gearknob which, hopefully, I can refurb.
  2. Nice clean car, mate. I loved my old Mystic Blue VR. I had him for 8 yrs and did 150,000 miles. In all that time it only let me down once with a shot coilpack. I sold it to some little scrote weed dealer who wrote it off the day after he bought it!! I've had my current VR Highline for 6 years but thinking of selling him on soon. @javichu50 I have a spare VR6 badge you could put on your Mk3
  3. I need a few minor bits like the OBD port cover. An original wooden gear knob and passenger side window seal. Any of these things available?
  4. The guy who revamped my car had to get new seals for the rear and it was cheaper to buy new windows with seals included! I'll admit I haven't looked for front ones. Surely any Mk3 Golf bits should fit. It has been suggested to me to just to cover the window motor in clingfilm and spray with WD40.
  5. I gaffer tape the window seal when I wash the car and make sure the pressure washer avoids that area. I recently had my VR 'overhauled' and the bodywork guy managed to get new rear window seals. I'm sure you'll get them easy as they're the same for most mK3s. I just haven't got round to doing mine.
  6. I have the same issue. After I have the car washed or it rains heavy the passenger window plays up. I find when I stop somewhere and shut the drivers door, the passenger window goes down. If I open the drivers door again and slam it the passenger one goes up again. All this silliness stops when it all dries out. I've had a new window motor (200 quid!!) and it made no difference. I'm thinking I need new window seals. I got the doors off ebay for a quid and the rubber is a bit perished. My other solution is simply to disconnect the motor and do without a passenger window opening.
  7. Looks like a nice example. I already own an identical one. Good luck with the sale.
  8. I can't help with any parts but welcome to the site
  9. There is a difference. See you other post for photos!
  10. Regular VR6 badge. Highline Badge.
  11. Yes. The highline badge is a black rectangle with VR6 in the middle. A non-highline badge is like a silver cut out VR6. I'll post some pics for you.
  12. What a waste leaving it in the garage. I suppose it is being preserved and just gaining value. Mine is identical to the OPs car with 72k. I use mine every day as my daily driver. Good luck with the sale.
  13. The price is right. A decent VR becoming a rare beast.

    Hi!

Welcome. I love the Mystic Blue!
  15. My experience of VR6s and I've owned three of them over 15 yrs, says get the best coilpack you can and a decent set of leads. Buy cheap and you'll buy twice! I usually buy Bosch, expensive but quality.
  16. One of my VR6s was difficult to get into first gear. (I think that what you're saying). Initially I thought the clutch was going but my mechanic said it was OK. He suggested the clutch lever was bent and needed replacement, which seemed odd. Anyway I sat in the car and hooked my foot under the clutch pedal and pulled it upward. There was about an inch of movement and it changed gear perfectly after that! I had to repeat this action every three months or so. It might be worth a try!!

    Tires

I've just shod my Highline with Toyo Proxy TR1s. Quite a soft tyre but good grip. My old Tomcat Turbo would eat a set of Toyo front tyres in 2500 miles!!!
  18. Wow! And the 3.6!! How did that miss my radar!
  19. Until now I wasn't aware VW made a V6 Eos! Nice car!!
  20. The car is now SOLD to Adnan and we have a new club member
  21. Yes Ok but be aware that I've had mouth cancer so I talk a bit funny. 07913 841558
  22. I've had a think overnight and the best I'll do is £999. No offers. Any less and I rather stick it in the lockup and continue to use it as a spare. I drive it almost every day and it's not a bad little runabout as it is.
