  1. You will hear if the chains are due for replacement they will sound like a jar with marbles in it, at that mileage if they haven't been done and sound not too good it would be wise to do the lot rather that just guides/tensioners, the extent if rust you might find could be hidden on the floor around the body bungs and you might not get to see how bad it could be until you stripped it down a bit. Obvious checks for leaks are at the crack pipe, t-stat housing and oil cooler, look for pink powdery residue at all hoses etc, the oil cooler may have an oil drip due to old hard seals, which are cheap
  2. Just get some nice stainless ones, they aren't tightened to a huge torque
  3. iPad IS the current market leader
  4. Just get a f*cking iPad you girl
  5. Colder air means there's more air by volume so more fuel can be burned
  6. Prefer hearts and rings or gold bears myself
  7. I like everything except the primer grey S3 with the garish pink leather interior
  8. the ebay one will probably be a different I/D so wouldnt fit onto the exhaust directly
  9. I have a stainless exhaust for dead cheap as it needs a tiny pin hole welded, which the garage who fitted it for you could seal up in about 3 seconds.
  10. What about LCR brembos? I meant just normal 312 discs with the normal g54 288/312 spec callipers
  11. I thought people preferred not to use the fronts as it was a pain in the arse to find correct fitment discs and had to be 330mm, and that the turbo rears or boxster fronts can be used easier with 312mm Do you not think that just 312s would be enough? The mk3 will be a good couple of hundred kg lighter will it not?
  12. It's a mk3 thing they sit a little bit proud, which is a key fact you should remember if your mot tester ever fails it on top mounts.
  13. I noticed that about the belts, also the fact that they look to be fastened down the back of the seats instead of anchor points towards the back of the car, I've seen cars in smashes (and YouTube won't let us forget, you drive in Russia) where the belts were installe like that and they just peeled the seat away and didnt do their job.
  14. There's certainly a fair bit of work gone into that, really the only thing I can see is get it lowered
  15. I've had them for 3 or 4 years now and I think they are very good for the money, the ride is firm but not jarring, they still have good absorption when going over speed bumps etc. I would definitely get them again.
  16. Yes the bit with the sensor, which is a dummy plug anyway on UK cars. Hose to that. The tube off the throttle body goes to the pcv then down to a solenoid and then to the charcoal canister below the headlight, block off the little pcv hole on the bent around bit so its still sealed.
  17. I've just given you the reasoning, you can do whatever you want. It won't just be blow by anyhow, its positive pressure in the engine, which the whole right side of the engine links top and bottom.
  18. I have the AP coilovers, just get the ones marked as for VR6 not syncro
  19. About recirculation. The reason for it recircing is that the air in the engine has already been accounted for by the maf in its calculations, if its vented to the outside its calculating incorrectly.
  20. I've run a catch tank recircing for a few years now and took my intake elbow off a few months ago to replace the silicones and it was still squeaky clean, that's the whole point of the catch tank, to condense and collect the vapours in the air so clean air recircs.
  21. You need to get 19mm ID oil resistant hose, run one length to tank the another length to the takeoff on the intake elbow
