  1. if youre talking about the part circled in red in this topic then yes it just slips on http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?281068.post
  2. no differnece really, id just make sure its about 60Ah and about 500 - 600cca the higher the Ah the more charge the battery will hold the higher the cca the more cold starting power the battery has
  3. so what colour is yours? if you had a lot of build up internally it might be a dirty brown colour, specially if they used a flush product that lossened the cack off, had this before and just took repeated flushing to come clear, which you know a time is money garage wouldnt have bothered doing.
  4. look in your scrap and breakers yards too i got a heated electric one for a fiver the casing would most prob come in primer
  5. i fitted a top glovebox to mine and added the light as i wanted it to be OEM, i cant get it out so easy as i will have to remove the whole top box, but the switch is a very simple device as i remember, the main light unit, the little plastic rocker switch and the electrical contacts, its very obvious how it should work, the plastic rocker in its left alone position is a complete circuit so the light is on, then when you shut the glovebox the rocker pushes against the box frame and it breaks the circuit. The only 2 things that could really be wrong is either the bulb itself or the contacts/spr
  6. thats the only piece of equipment the airbag light is connected to to find out why you need to hook it up to vag com it'll tell you exactly what its trouble is
  7. fwiw a stock paper panel will flow better than any cotton or foam filter
  8. i would add do it carefully, theres a little tab on the side and if you flatten it off the vent will sit loose and rotate really free in its fitting, i did that on mine when i yanked it out, was much more careful when i replaced it from a scrapper
  9. after the mk3 vr6 12v they moved onto the 24v, they carried on the 12v in US though, you could get an 02 golf or jetta with a 12v, they got a few more bhp with the VGI fitted as standard, literally a few, like 3 more, it was then replaced with the 24v over there too. If it was an 04 it was a 24v, as the later sharans were 24v too, same engine as the golf 4motion 201bhp
  10. I love this guys style, man after my own style, classic old soul packed full of up to date tech and comfort This is exactly what i want to do when ive got the time and money, probably in red too!! but a 225 20VT not 150 lol. POWEEEEEEEEEEEERRRR http://www.clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?t=196688
  11. no it didnt but no fuss for 12 quid, ive ordered a bnib bosch fpr from germany for 30 quid so waiting on that arriving
  12. you can get TT coupe 3.2s on a 10 plate
  13. only way to tell is get another. it seems that they can be either, bentley says its 167 and i checked my own thats 167 too which is white, but 67 comes up as fuel relay too http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=m570&_nkw=fuel+relay+67
  14. need to be the same design relay, different numbers have different circuits inside them double check your number cos it should be 167
  15. what size are your wheels? its straightforward enough to fill out and can save you fair bit if you do multiple parcels and then your length and width is the circumference of your wheels and depth is the width of your wheels just put 10kg per box youd be fine for weight eg for a 17"x8" rim it would be 45cmx45cmx21cm and 10kg. its all approximate anyway they arent gonna do anything if your a bit over.
  16. greenlight are another good one, supposedly theyve had a good year too so are offering good deals
  17. i used parcel monkey for mine cost £16
  18. mine keeps up fine with my brothers phase2 clio 172, and in most situations will see it off, due to you dont have to cane it to 7.5k to get anywhere, its much more driveable, i love the vr6 driving style, leave it in 5th and just soldier on, driving a focus 1.6 on a regular basis really highlights the effortlessness of the vr6, its brilliant. round here people dont have this view of VR6s, they command respect and if you do have a play with someone whatever the outcome everyones grinning and most are impressed the old girl can still do what it does regardless, other week on the shell forecourt
  19. done it, the blocks were 0% as id fault cleared, driven and logged today and all is fine, and extremely close to perfect :-D
  20. i just used K&N filter cleaner and oil on mine. You get a cleaning kit for like 8 quid has the 2 in it i just followed the instructions on the bottle
  21. isnt pipercross oil designed for foam not cotton?
  22. Oh right, does that mean that idle is additive and part load is multiplicative? if so is it real time reading which is why part load is 0% as the engine was idling? or is part load zero cos i just fault cleared?
  23. using vagcom 3.112 ECU these are all the blocks that show percentages 001 004 024 028 097 098
