if doing both seals make sure you clean the back up well cos its a right barsteward to get back on with the engine in situe and dirt and crap could get stuck between and not make a good seal
if you cant find anything, just get a strip of strong rigid metal and bend it to shape and drill mounting holes, i used a brick strap on mine till i could get a more permanent strip of metal lol
i read somewhere that the earlier engines, ie OBD1 use better crank bearings that are much stronger, so better for the increased stress of turboing, not saying that you couldnt just put them into a newer OBD2 engine but a fair point if youre just getting either or and not looking to totally rebuild an engine.
directed do pretty much all the main alarms, viper, python hornet, clifford, toad. re full cat1 alarms i have a hornet maxx, i have no problems with it and its good at its job, but lacks customisation, if i got another it would be a toad ai606
yep, best stuff is pentosin which you can get from bmw or mini im told, its full synthetic where all others are semi. but anything called CHF 11S is up to spec
they are all the same, theres only 2 types, a cheap replica lead or a very expensive rosstech lead. The cheap lead does everything you would need it to do, its the software you need to make sure about, the freeware only does so much
does yours have an OBD2 port? take the ashtray out of the dash and then slide the cover to the elft of the ashtray off, does it have a port the same as the plug on that lead? if yes then that lead will work, but will only work with older versions of vagcom, not a problem for our old cars, old versions do everything for them. I use version 3.112. You will only get a freeware version of the software which you would have to buy to unlock. Also old versions dont work in vista very well at all, best on XP
i had a clio sport in that shape in sliver, i much prefer the newer shape in blue, id have this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2174005.htm, but obviously im not stupid so wouldnt spend that on a car id never be able to get rid of, 2 or 3 grand ok, but 15? nonononono
i hepled my brother fit his new trophy wheels to his 172 today, not sure which is better, the standard wheels look like any other 1.2 clio on the road and these look way smaller, but hey its not my car so not really bothered. they arent even a big weight saving, 1kg a wheel
if you go xenon kit its better to have projector lenses than normal reflectors as it gives a much more accurate beam pattern and doesnt blind every other road user with glare
i think people re wire the lights with relays off the battery because the voltage drop over the standard loom is pretty big, relaying off the battery gives full power
mine were 2x h4 each side, the dipped beam was outside h4 on dipped and main beam was all 4 h4 bulbs on full beam, massive amount of light mine had the relay giving power straight from the battery, its the green box with the red wire coming out of it fastened to the left light. not too sure how they worked for each beam but they did, i sold them and got hella quads cos i wanted projectors and the smoked lenses to go with my whole black/dark theme
