  1. Cheers Adam. Looks like I will sack the idea on getting the bottom end balanced.
  2. Hey Paul, I've started it, lots to take in. It's always worth asking the question. My father in law keeps going on about getting it bloody balanced and get the tolerances checked due to wear and tear.
  3. Has anyone had there bottom end rebuilt or rebuilt it themselves? I know you need new piston rings and big end bearings. Is it really worth getting it balanced?
  4. Interesting points of view guys. I bought the ones off ebay and as MJ mentioned put them in an see how they go.

  9. I got the below parts ready for the engine work in a next few weeks. Oil Oil filter Coolant Sump plug washer Rocker cover gasket Metal layered head gasket ARP head stud kit. I was going to fit a 8.5.1 head spacer but decided against it once I spoke to VF-Engineering department in the states due to running 8psi boost on a stage 2 kit. So the head spacer is for sale if anyone is interested?
  10. I got to ask but why are "NGK YELLOW BOX SPARK PLUG BKR7E" so good in comparison to the standard ones from TPS?
  11. Thanks Kev, does this mean a normal lamba bung will not work with wideband afr due to the diameter tip?
  12. Hey Craig, I wont be running a decat on this setup as its just too much noise for me lol I am getting old lol. I did think about the Cat but not sure where though?

  14. I am just about to put the lamba bung in the bottom of the 6 branch, spoken to a few guys to get there thoughts. Has anyone put an afr in a 6 branch before?
  15. Lukey, I have just done mine and you can use your calipers, so all you need is the carriers, 6mm spacer and discs. It really is easy as that!
  16. Hey Dazza, EBC are going to replace them as a good will gesture. They actually thought I did this on purpose. Twats lol. No matter as I am going to sell the new set and get some Ferodo FDS775 and FDS541, once I get some pennies together.
  17. I got a lamba bung with the kit, I will ask Paul if he could weld it in when I pick up "Harry's" old engine.
  18. Thanks Tony, I am just researching at the moment. I have got the 6 branches with no exhaust wrap on them, and I have cat back on. So I just wanted to know the best location. I was thinking about putting the sensor at the bottom of 6 branches? Unless you had some magic trick where u placed yours before?
  19. Changed my EBC red stuff pads back to normal, check out the picture. I am sure this does not look right, centre of the pad is missing a chunk.
  20. Hey all, Just going to fit my AEM AFR, not sure where to position it My thought is after the cat or on the 6 branches near the bottom where it becomes 2 to 1. Whats your thoughts?
