    ah ok thanks Spadam, I will leave that then. Does anyone have any recommendations on changing the 5th gear so it changes the rev's to being lower?

    Hi all, My gearbox went pop a week back and I have got a interim box in for now. I am looking at getting it reconditioned but with a G60 final drive. I am really after lower rev's in 5th gear on the motorway so for example at 70mph instead of 3000rpm something like 2000 - 2500rpm. I have heard that the G60 setup is a really good mod, whats your thoughts?

    Can you believe, I drive to work, stop off at a garage then bang the car does not start. RAC turn up the bloody starter motor is dead. So PMA next call, starter motor order, I'll fit it tomorrow and sort the blowing exhaust.

    Its been ages,so I thought I would update the thread. Lost 1st gear last week!!! The pain!! But would like to thank Tony for sorting me out a interim gearbox on Sunday and she is running again. Also the decat is off the car and for sale! So next current plan is for Tony to recon my old gear box with a G60 final drive. I hope this is a good mod?

    Umm, I only get intermittent issues with 1st year, and I am feeling more movement in the gearstick, could there be any other issues?

    When the clutch is on the way out, what symptoms do u get? My clutch has never been changed and I had some issues with 1st gear popping out. So what to do?

    Also gutted fella. though its not that easy to kill a meet especially in the summer time. Will wait and see.

    He did then moved it back to Lady Mead, then in Jan 2011 called it a day and stated on his forum its the end.

    Moving fast, just out of interest did you just put a bung in the hole when you de-wipered the rear?
