Oooo thanks! As for the torque of ARP I found on another site ; hand tight with the allen for the studs then 3 equal steps to 80 ft/lbs with the moly lube as per the bentley torquing order, and heat cycle then re-torque.
Does anyone know what torque I need to do the studs to and then the nuts? Also i read somewhere that people then let the engine get up to temperature then cool down and retorque them? Is that right?
Wish my mk2 was like this, how is the feel on the R32 shifter? im currently using a cable set up but its like throwing the gearstick to find the gears.
Just wondering where people have got their lines from? Do most people take a feed off the oil filter housing and then just tap the sump for the return line?
Here is a link to what some ARP head studs look like. http://www.schimmelperformance.com/OnlineStore/Engines/EngineFasteners/ARP/HeadStuds/Images/HeadStuds.jpg
Its fair enough , the standard bolts probabaly wont fail , I just see it as when putting so much money into the car may as well spend that little bit extra.
