  2. 270 cams is all I found out about them.. Their 8v mk2 gti's were rapid.. Had a 1.9 few years ago, left both mine and pals 16v in its wake..
  3. Cams have to be changed as well apparently ?? lower inlet is the different part, so possibly use the 24v uk top part?? Want US rocker cover anyway..
  4. The Cupra R 323 Brembos fit behind TT comp 17s easily with no wheel spacers on a mk3. you can even upgrade to bigger bells n rotors if you want.. like the 330 2 piece Cupra upgrades you can get. Less weight, better performance and look slutty.. The boxster calipers are a bit wider iirc?? needing spacers on more types of wheels.. All you need to bolt the Cupra Brembos to a mk3 if some washers or spacers to pack out the carriers by 6mm.. I used 3x normal 2mm spacers per bolt either side.. Then just bend the dust guard thing behind the discs back by about 1 mm as it touches the mk4/ cupr
  5. Is it the same as 12v then?? I can get a 24v one 2 mins from my house as pal has breakers yard, and so does my dad in London.. possibly just the lower bit different?

  8. Ive done this to mine in March of this year.. You just need the V5 02J box and diesel cups.. thats it.. Cups I got of the early diesel mk4 box that I got 5th gear from. Basically, I got a V5 box DZL code and can't for the life of me find the diesel box code I used, but they are all online via google easy enough.. I have the code I used on the old box in my workshop, when I did it out will let you know.. Im not happy with my 5th, as I chose the lesser of the 2 popular ones, so even though I have great take of in low gears, I haven't actually gained anything from the normal VR box up top w

  16. this is the main thing.. people don't realise what a huge difference tyres and fuel makes. They have drag tyres in most tyre shops out there. I used some 76 high octane fuel in an old 1.9 gti Engineering mk2 years ago when we had that fuel shortage crap, MY GOD what a different car !!! and I was mixing it as well.. Stick some street legal drag tyres on a car here and some high octane fuel and see the times fall..
