  1. Oh well, you'll just have to come over and find out

  3. Have to get myself one of those 3123 Polo CL VR6's some time lol! What is this site anyway? It's not official DVA data is it?
  4. Sure the mk6 came out then and the R32 was no longer
  5. Give United Motorsport a shout. They are based in Basingstoke. 08443576174 or PM or post on their section on here.
  6. I might be able to sell you a bumper if you need one. Just made another one for mine and the old one is surplus to requirement. Pipes hidden but fins removed in middle lower section for the IC... Pic..
  7. Dunno, you'd normally see the fluid leaking from the top of the mount if it's burst. Rock the engine back and forward to see if there is much movement in that mount.
  8. Looks more like you have or have had a coolant leak from the expansion bottle and has leaked onto subframe and mixed with general road and oily crap and or gearbox mount fluid. CV boot doesn't look like it's been changed or replaced in quite some time..

    Top speed!

I passed my friend in his Edition 30, he was clocking 168mph, I was off the clock. Highest satnav speed is 157. Not using VR6 gearing though and all was carried out either on a private road or a foreign country Actually, come to think of it, I have video footage of it somewhere, must try and hoke it out some time.
  10. Lol Kev! SRI Cavalier's were cool in their own right, esecially the saloon version. Rotten old things in the end though lol!
  11. Proper SRI with proper software
  12. Lol at this! I live in Ireland and have supplied and used several United Motorsport maps and have NEVER had the need to go over to the mainland!
  13. I will be there in the VR-T on Saturday, will probably break something but it's all part of the fun! Coming over from Ireland so it would be good to meet some of you guys and a warm reception would be appreciated!
  14. Have a look at this guys, fully detailed guide on 02A rebuild complete with part numbers for shims etc http://vagdrivers.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=47126&st=0&gopid=479188entry479188
  15. Been having issues with my power steering pump in that it's been making the "scringing" noise and also sending all the oil back up to the power steering bottle to the point where it all just overflows and spills out the top. I replaced the pump with another second hand one and it's doing the same thing again. I wondered one of two things; 1. Could I have been so unlucky as to have replaced the original with another dud pump? 2.Or, is this a characteristic of a power steering rack being shot? Anyone with any simlar issues or experiences, your input would be appreciated.
  16. Cheers for posting pics MJ! Was great to have you guys over and hope that a load more of you can make it next year!!
  17. I'd this same problem the other week as I'm sure C2 will also tell you. Don't know what it was but it cured itself after I checked all the connections on the back of the fuse box, ecu and engine master plug. I wasn't getting fuel or spark though. Worth having a fiddle with all the connections all the same.
  18. Here's some pics and vids from our weekend..
  19. Didn't really get speaking to any of you guys when I was there but seemed to be a good turnout of vr's anyhow and I enjoyed the day. I managed a 14.0095 second quarter which was ok. My first time ever doing quarter mile and took me a while to figure out how the lights worked lol! Only got two runs in and on the third nipped the clutch slave cylinder line so as I pulled for second the clutch didn't come back out, doh, so it was an early bath for me lol! We plan coming next year to spend the full day at it, finding it's much better crack than E38.
  20. Cheers guys, got it sorted today, turned out to be a bent inlet valve. Thanks for the help
