    well i was looking around the engine today after checking fuel pump etc i found my fpr vaccum pipe was hanging out the inlet mani so id imagine that will be were the air leak was coming from would this of caused it to be running lean?

    schimmel 263 or autotech 262 and a remap to suit and the cams are brilliant for when you decide force induction lol

    ive actually been in jim potters car and i was expecting it to have no traction at all but i was very surprised on how well it put the power down like alot of people said i think its all down to using the loud pedal properly obviously if you are heavy footed in 1st and 2nd its gonna be silly and have no traction

    the mk3 subframe will bolt straight up to the mk2 if you are going for the wider track you cannot use your mk2 wishbones your best to just unbolt the whole subframe with the wishbones,brakes etc and bolt it all onto the mk2 all will fit direct.sorry if it sounds a little confusing but i didnt understand your questions fully lol let us know if you need anymore help.     thanks for the info mate so that eliminates the lambda making mine lean.

    my engine is a obd2 and i accidently ordered a obd1 lamda since running it i took my car for a rolling road and the car was found to be running very lean i wonder if thats the problem.

    yea it sounds like the starter motor sticking mine does the same

    your best buying a decat pipe from hotuning ive got one and it has the lambda hole already welded in nice and simple and cheap too

    after talking to a few people about organising a meet i thought we should just bite the bullet and go for it.we are thinking..... Toys r us car park off the a14 in ipswich as its bang in the middle for essex and suffolk.also it will be big enough for us all and we havent got to worry about upsetting people with noise or generally being there. We havent come up with a day or time as i would like to see whats best for everyone so let us know and we will go from there. Aaron

    i have to agree the autotech 262 are a good cam coupled with the right mods i.e exaust headwork chip intake you will see good gains.

    ive been told that it could be my maf.i took the plugs out today and they are white.what should i check as i havent got it setup for vagcom yet and id like to get the problem sorted Cheers Aaron

    i converted my mk2 to vr6 and havent yet wired up a vagcom port i will be doing this in the next few weeks hopfully my mods are air filter 6 branch and 2.5 system

    i took my car for a rolling road day a few months ago once it had been run we see that it was running very lean 2.9 co i was told that it should be at about 4.6 co.im racking my brain to try and solve the problem but i cant think what is causing it to run lean.the cars drives fine but and it rolled out at 177bhp but when i change down gear i hear it pop and make noises through the exaust{not backfire noise}. i also have a new problem when i put my foot down at low revs it stumbles for a split second and then is ok. any help appreciated thanks aaron

    try and talk to a member called sparkz he is brilliant with vr6 mk2 conversions and very clued up with looms

    i think you have to change the clocks to vr6 thats what ive done anyway lol
