  1. if its corrado it will still be wide track defo wider than the mk2 stuff anyway
  2. the mk2 vr6 mount allows you to keep your mk2 cross member not the subframe ,as for subframe you will be using your corrado or mk3 set up.i think you can use the vr rack but if your staying narrow track you can change the arms from your 8v rack but dont quote me on it
  3. 1. Do I need mk2 16v driveshafts or will my 8v ones fit? 2. Do I need to use the steering rack from the 8v or can I leave the vr6 one in place? 3. I think I know that I need mk2 16v hubs and calliper carriers and G60 brake discs to keep 4 stud 4. If I am using vr6 subframe then I assume I will need the corrado vibra technics (950mm) engine mount not the mk2 vr6 conversion vibra technics engine mount? 5. What wishbones do I use...the vr6 or the 8v? 1. 8v will be fine mate 2. im using my pas rack from my 8v so yes it will fit ok but from experiance the vr6 rack will feel nicer 3. you can use 16v

  6. i have a spare head sitting about and im looking to put cams in but i wanted to put them in with a rebuilt head what will i need to rebuild my head and is it worth getting it port and polished
  7. has anyone used cat cams or no if there any good,ive found some cheap but im unsure weater they are any good cheers aaron
  8. im in the middle of doind a mk2 vr6 conversion but there has been a mix up with the loom and ecu from the person i just bought it from the engines a obd2 but he gave me the loom and ecu seperate i just wanna make sure its a obd2 loom is there anything i can check t find out cheers aaron
  9. hi everyone well after debaiting about getting a vr6 ive found one that imviewing at 8pm tonight a little nervous about letting the mk2 go but i took my cousins vr6 out the other day and fell in love i just wanted to know what should i look out for i.e rust areas cheers aaron
  10. very true but ive had mk2s all my life and im thinking i wouldnt mind somthing a little refind and to be honest have a little change but it needs to be a vr6 lol

  12. hi there i think this is my first post on the forum basically im looking at selling my mk2 gti because ive wanted to have a vr6 for a lkong time now but couldnt afford the insurance now being old enough im thinking of getting one i did wanna put a vr in my mk2 but in all honesty cant be bothered lol and havent got the money to afford to get it done proffessinally, so i just wanna ask is buying a mk3 highline a good move basically im gonna miss my mk2 loads and need some good points in owning a mk3 vr6 lol basicaslly are they any good to own cheers aaron
