  3. I am replacing the brakes next week and thought while i got everything off i might give the coilovers and brakes a clean ,whats the best stuff to use? halfords got 3 for 2 at moment so might get some stuff...... i want to paint the calipers after ,so needs to be able to remove everything

I am after a set of braised hoses for a 1997 vento vr6 , i have found a few golf ones but the part numbers are different to the vento ones .........do the vento and golf have the same type of fitments? 288mm set up dont want to buy the kit and its the wrong one , 1997 should be a 6 line set up? thanks

  8. yep....though i might try 15w40w with my charger , find the synta goes a bit thin after about 3 months with the charger using it to.....

Turbo i am not sure about , the power from a charger is a bit more smoother than the kick from a Turbo .....only 1 way to find out hey! lol i built mine for daily driving so supercharger on a auto box seems a bit more relistic , she does get used and abused and its taken everything i have thrown at it using over drive gears i reckon it is quicker than manual , no clutch and you can select next gear with a push of a button!smooth and effortless will be better when i finish charge cooler and meth injection install
  12. mmmmm kev you should come in mine.......throttle respons is pretty good for an auto...with mods.... brembo discs and green stuff pads lasted over 2yrs so far and thats not normal driving either... 300bhp through standard auto box and still going
  13. what map you running? also are you running larger injectors?
  14. looks good.....filter and exhaust are always usually first options ,or you could get some coilovers and drop it a little? many options , have a search on threads about mods....

  16. they are 288's......that was what i was thinking but as i dont have the discs yet i didnt want to chance it......
  17. any luck with those numbers dude? managed to get a recon alternator so now just need to arrange belts so i can change at same time...
  18. well a quick look at measurements look like the passat ones are 1-2mm thinner , but this could be taken up with adjustment anyway once the piston is pumped and bleed?

Hi guys , tempted by the 312 upgrade keeping the original calipers and just upgrading the discs ect , if i use the tt discs and put the spacer plate in , will it effect the offset of the wheels? as at the moment my caliper is about 2mm away from the wheel with standard brakes ,if i put the spacer plate in , will it effect how close the caliper from the wheel is? might be a stupid question but i dont want to do it then cant run my wheels thanks ryan
  21. mmm stage 2 ,will need to have a look , its with aircon so need the long belt did find a link somewhere but didnt save it , so now am having hassles to find it anywhere
  22. looking for a new belt for the charger , where the best place to get it? and whats the normal price for one? Thanks
