  1. Point taken, no point stressing, just enjoy the ride! And welcome Leon.
  2. The car looks stunning! What ride height do you the coilovers set to?
  3. I have a the opposite issue,The first time always turns over when the car is started from cold, but if it has been warmed up then always fires up on the second try...and when it does fire up the revs start of very low and builds up to normal??? Was told it could be the ignition switch but does not really bug me so for now I going to overlook it for now.
  4. haha, btw cav your cabby looks wicked, is it a vr?
  5. Ride quality is important for those who have kids, don't want them bouncing up and down the rear seat as we go to school. :-d
  6. ad24gti, Is the car in your sig lowered 70mm? Also do you need the do any arch work?
  7. But the ride height will be between 55mm and 85mm, will 55mm be ok?
  8. I think the fronts will be ok as the standard ride is really high, it is the rear's I am worried about.
  9. Ok, I have been looking for a lowering kit for a while, finally won a set of coilovers of ebay, extremely happy, but the only issue is that the kit lowers between 55mm and 85mm......my concerns are that I have 17" Audi S3 alloys which I think are 7,5J, will the tyres scrub againt the arches as 55mm might a bit too low?? The reason I ask is becuase on standard suspension the rears touch if I got over a bump too fast or could that be because my shocks are worn out??? Thanks

If you are removing the dash then it maybe wise to have the heater matrix done while you are there, save alot of hassle in the future.
  11. Got it, europarts have them, quite cheap as well.... Link...... http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecommerce/Search_Results.asp
  12. Finally got the wheels on, the refurb was not the best job but for 50 quid I can't really complain. Picking up a coilcover kit tomorrow, hopefully will have it slammed by next weekend.
  13. Craggsy, thanks for the info. Is the bearing part of the mount or the ciolover? Thanks
  14. Hello, Won these off ebay for the vr6 and was wondering if there might be anything else that is required for fitment that does not appear in the picture. I know that the seller does not have the C spanners but I intend buying this off ebay as well. Does it use the standard top mounts as well?? Thanks Guy's
  15. It is time for the first service since ownership of the vr and was wondering as to which spark plugs are the best? as for the oil it seems like most users prefer Shell Optimax.......any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  16. I ahve the same problem. SiGainey any specific brand? Thanks
  17. I am looking for the wiring diagrams for the airbag system on my vr6, if anyone has it then please could you pm me. Thanks
  18. I got one of ebay last year, cost around £10 but it was really big and heavy.....have a look on there.
  19. I have the same problem, happened twice in 1 month, never ocurred again, but I was told by a mac that it is probably the iginition switch.... Also see link here from further clarification.... http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=55480
  20. Problem solved, had to knock the bolts off , what a pain! Heater matrix.....never again!!!
  21. On my brothers vr that box aactually popped and made a loud noise, after that the car started but did not idle, he taped up the pipes and drove it down to a mac who replaced it.
  22. Cheers for the response, but the airbag on the pass side has a blue connector, I have the same blue connector of the drivers side which is not plugged into anything, located on the steering/ignition wiring column.....
