  1. Ok it arrived this morning, fitted on and seems to have made a big difference to to noise from the filter, however trottle response does seem a little better, need to get the airflow feed correct though. Maybe will get a proper pipe and feed air from the bumper vents, anyways here are the pics, also I have asked the seller if we would qualify for any discounts if we bought them in bulk, he will get back to me with a price so if you are interested then PM me or maybe if there is loads of inetrest then we can do a group buy??? or alternatively you can buy it directly from him using the ebay link
  2. Hello VR6MadMike, I am also having airbag issues, these crafty sellers who unplug the warning light! Anyways can you tell me where the abs sensor is located? Thanks
  3. Do you mean after fitting the replacement, if so then the answer is no. Only fitted the replacement and expected the light to go off, I guess I am a total idiot huh?
  4. Hello All, My car has an airbag fault, a diagnostic tool reported that it was driver side N-95. I have since bought a new driver airbag and fitted it but the light still stayed on. Can anyone suggest what else may need looking at? I read on another forum that there might be a 'clock spring' or something like that ...anyone know where to find these thingies? or even a manual/diagram describing the airbag system on a mk3 will help. At a total loss. Thanks
  5. Have a look at the calipers, a simliar isue occured with a previous dub I owned and one of the metal clips where sticking out causing that noise. Hope this helps. Regards
  6. Do gearboxes also have mounts ??If so could it cause this issue? Someone correct me if I am wrong.
  7. I had a similiar issue but on a mk3 GTi, turned out to be a faulty temp sender/switch located on one of the water hoses, not sure if the vr6 works on the same principle, but just thought I'd make mention of it. Actually bought 2 at the time so still have a brand new one, I think they cost around £20 from Vag. Regards
  8. Will do, should look good under the bonnet too!
  9. Hello All, Not sure if this has been covered before, but just bought one of these, will post comments after fitment, looks good and for the price surely woth it. Cheers Ebay link here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=010&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=200120206619&rd=1&rd=1
  10. Yeah, guy's you are all right!, Why bother spending all that money, maybe if they fitted straight on then it would have been cool, I am going to pass, maybe consider 17's?? Hopefully will have the car lowered soon, that will helpmake a decision as I am not sure how low it might end up
  11. Ok, that is expensive, won these wheels of ebay for £41, but the owner decided he is going to charge me £60 incl packaging and paypl charges, furthermore I have to pay another £35 for courier service, then another £150 for tyres, and now a further £200 for adapters...hhmmm, I might as well just get the 17" TT COMPS instead. Btw these are 15's but they sure look good, should I take them?
  12. Ok, I see what you mean, so basically the higher the ET the closer the wheel gets to the suspension, also are these 'spacers' safe? Thanks
  13. I am sure the bore can be adjusted but what do you mean by space them? Will the wheels be to close to the springs? Thanks
  14. Hello Everyone, I have just won a excellent set of wheels but they came from a Subaru, 5x100 ET55, I was wondering if the ET measurement will be a problem? Thanks
  15. Cool! , trying to save a few quid as the used Vr lowering kits are hard to come by. Thanks
  16. Hello guy's, How can I tell if my vr has the OBD1 engine or Obd2, the engine code is AAA, 128 KW and it is a early 1995 model. Thanks
  17. Thanks for the reply, are you referring to the entire kit or just the springs itself? Thanks
  18. Hello, Will all mk3 golf (Gti, Tdi, CL) lowering kits fit a vr6? Someone said that it will not fit because the engine is larger hence Vr6's use different front springs? If that were to be correct then it is possible to use the same dampers and change the lowering springs for one's that are specifically manufactured for Vr6's??, furthermore do the rears need different springs as well?? Thanks
  19. It is quite diffrent colour, I was told it is pearl silver?? Also it has got leather interior which does look really smart. Anyone with a suspension kit for sale then please pm me.
  20. Hello Everyone, Is the head gasket a common issue on the vr's ? Mine was done by previous owner at 80000 miles? *-)
  21. Yeah it drives well, a bit paranoid at the mo, scared it might fall down and cost a fortune to repair, fingers crossed and it is very difficult to drive it conservatively.
  22. Hello everyone, New to the Vr scene, had a couple of GTi's before, anyways here is my first VR, bought her last week, already the heater matrix has given up and some idiot bumped the front in the car park........hope to have it lowered soon. Moderator edit by: Antera309
  23. Ok, did you have alook at the pdf in the link I posted? As that points to the airbag unit and states that the igniter is builtin, however I think the pdf is for the mk4? Have a look and let me know what you think. Cheers
  24. Well maybe it will, but does the vr have a simliar setup to the audi?
