  1. Got them from a guy in Woodford green, London. Front are slightly kerbed but I think I going to have the outers polished at some point.
  2. Not really, just got a set now. I love them! Will be selling my Audi S3 alloys on here soon. Here are some pics, literally just got back now, came with Toyo's Need to give them a clean.... 3. As above anyone know which style these are and any idea what they might be worth?? just an indication of the value of the alloys itself will be good. Btw they are 16 inch...
  4. Now where is the fun in that??? But I see your point lol.
  5. Seen this on ebay, now I know there are plenty of these devices out there, but has anyone ever tried these so called new "far-infrared" thingy's? 7. Hello All, Drove the car this morning and if was fine, drove it home today and still good. However about 3 hrs ago I drove it down to the shops and it does not feel right. It felt like a miss. When I put my foot down the car hesistates to go and kinda pulls back. The plugs have been replaced two weeks ago. Oh and yesterday I removed the carbon canister not sure if that has anything to do with it but reading other posts about the canister here obviously not? When I open the bonnet I can hear a click sound then the engine drops in revs...it happens every few seconds ....any suggestions on how to
  8. Yeah, got an ecu chip, needs to be fitted. Lowering soon. Also has a milltek exhaust...I think?? K&N on already but first I need to bring it back down to earth...lol
  9. Here it is, pretty much standard, I intend having it lowered soon [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1194810973_5799_FT0_image096.jpg][/lightbox] [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1194810973_5799_FT0_image103.jpg][/lightbox] [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1194810973_5799_FT0_image099.jpg][/lightbox]
  10. Wow! Speechless, where do you live exactly? lol , love the car.
  11. tobesvw, Looking awesome! Where did you get them from and how much did you pay?
  12. Yeah depends on the reasoning behind it, lewisvr6 in your case all the water had leaked out and the engine overheated...you could top up the expansion tank on normal occasions if the car is warmed up. If you notice the car overheating and taking water in the next couple days then you know the damage has been done. Fingers crossed! Also check the coolant level cause when this happened to me I had to keep filling water every morning before it normalised, oh and you might wanna flush the cooling system to get any air out.
  13. I could be wrong but it should be the resistor??
  14. Ignore my comments about the chain noises, found evrything I need to know in the premium members section, what a fantastic guide it is!
  15. This happened to me once with my mk2, then when I rang the mac he advised not to put the water in whilst the engine was hot as that could warp the head??? , and that I should wait for the engine to cool off before filling up? Also guy's what does this chain noise sound like, mine has a whiring noise, but I think it might be the tensioner bearing?? The harder I rev the louder the noise gets, does not sound like metal rubbing or tin sota noises??
  16. I will give it a try, should be the same in theory. Will end up with a spare lead. If not they will go for sale on here. Thanks gav_vr6!
  17. Are these leeds all the same, can I use them on both OBD1 and 2, coilpacks and distrubutor? Thanks
  18. Hello, are these ok to use on a standard Vr?, reason I ask is because they are 10mm. Also has anyone used a set of these leads, opinions.....???? 20. 16.5 cm or 6.5 inch if I remember correctly. Set of 4 on ebay at the mo.... link.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-MK3-GTI-8-16V-4X-KENWOOD-SPEAKERS_W0QQitemZ280169681093QQihZ018QQcategoryZ9889QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  21. On the MK3 you will need 205/45/16, it goes like this.... 205/50/15 205/45/16 205/40/17 For every inch you go up in alloy size you will have to reduce the tyre ratio by 0.5. They will catch on the shocks. I recently attempted putting 225/45/17 's on my vr and the rears caught at the shocks. So in theory it is the same thing as you have 16" but the tyres are 50 profile.
  22. Have a look here, apparently "On some Mk3 the rear axle tends to stick the wheel out more on one side" so although you make have rolled the arches it might still be cathing a little? but then again you should be able to see the marks on the tyre *-) http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?202781
  23. fritzenberg, he is the breaker. Why send him such a message? *-)
  24. Air in the system maybe?? Possibly bleed it and see what gives?
