  1. btw if you have an AC then I think the setup is different..
  2. Yeah, the vr6 uses specific plugs....check to see if you have fitted the right plugs then take it from there. Maybe put the old ones back on to see if it makes a difference. Does the engine battle to start up? Any misfire ?? Good luck...
  3. If the fuse is still good then check the resistor for the heater blower and the connections. On my mk3 cabby the resistor was coroded, cleaned it out sprayed some WD40 and all was good. Not sure about the rado's heater setup but I am guessing it will be the same. The resistor is located on the passenger side below the dash, just trace the wiring from the blower itself and that will lead you to the resistor. Have a look at this link on ebay, the resistor is pictured below. Alternatively it could be the blower itself. Water loss can be down to a number of things (pumps, pipes, seals, water bottl
  4. Guy's, Sometimes my LCD mileage clock/display goes wonky, the numbers are broken up and looks distorted. Other times it works fine, do I have to change the entire cluster to solve this or is there an easier fix? PS: It is the display on the left side of the cluster, next to to temp guage. Thanks
  5. Well imo, if you are keeping the car totally standard and are expecting to attend some shows with your motor then maybe it is worth keeping it. If not nobody has any use for them anymore, however a standard head unit does look good when selling as buyers sometimes prefer it.
  6. I guess I will have to save a bit more, decided to go new or nothing. I n the interim I can have the ecu chipped and a few other bits done

  8. Well I will have a better look tommorrow, to be precise I drive it 3.5 miles every morning and then back in the afternoon again. So it does not have a good chance to warm up properly, but going to do an oil change next weekend, will that make a difference?
  9. Yeah was cruising at around 60 miles, then accerlerated hard, the outside temp was around 17 degrees. When I slowed down it dropped to below 100..... on my daily 5 miles run to the office it sits around 65?
  10. This is a joke, had a bid on these coilovers, decided to have a closer look as did not want to be dissapointed again, and guess what...exactly same problem, look at the second picture, the top front shock. They are the same brand as the ones I bought..........why do people do this!!!! I am glad I did not win this set as well, Link here..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330172095102
  11. Yes it is from the MAF, thanks for the info....
  12. I drove my vr on the motorway for the first time since ownership, I noticed the oil pressure goes up to 106 when driving at speeds around 80-100 MPH, is this normal? I need a dummies guide to the VR, *-)
  13. I was looking at the same one, he is less than 5 miles from my place so I could save on postage, I think this one is leather hence the price.
  14. No problem, I will get a new steering wheel and pm you if I have any issues. Thanks alot.
  15. Ok, still not entirely with you buddy, would it not be cheaper to buy a replacement steering wheel? Also would the connector be a blue one that plugs into the other end of the yellow wiring connector? Reason I ask is because I have a blue connector lying about in the steering column cowling. PS: Sorry to be a pain!
  16. SiGainey, this info seems really helpful, just one dumb question, what does the coil spring look like, is it the bronze looking thing behind the physical steering wheel, and where can I buy one from? Thanks
  17. Here is the original ebay listing, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260164581461&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=016 No indication of any defects..... Anyways called him today and he seems willing to refund my cash, however still need to drive another +/- 45 miles to get me cash..... :@

  19. Ok, bought these of ebay, collected it today, seller did not say anthing about this issue. Drove around 50 miles to collect it, in the end I took it hoping it will still be roadworthy as the bloke said it will be fine. It is only the one side that is damaged, will this be ok?
