  1. Hello, My right rear tyre is scrubbing on the arch. I know this is a common problem if the car is lowered but my vr has standard suspension. The alloys are 17" Audi TT wheels, not sure what the ET is and the profile is 205/40. The left side has no issues at all, seems to be affecting the right only, could this mean that the shock is damaged? It scrubs even if there are no passengers in thh back and when I go over bumps. If there are passengers then it scrubs also at roundabouts? [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1193325571_5799_FT0_image_046.jpg][/lightbox] [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/11
  2. Excuse my ingorance, but I thought the VR's where 175 BHP anyways or is that at the wheels?
  3. Are you having it fitted as standard or putting it the bumper or somewhere good for airflow?
  4. Tesco super fuel....I guess every little helps!
  5. I see your point, but how can a generic chip damaged the ecu?
  6. ouchh, that is painfull, both for the chip and me wallet, lol, philbatesvr6 why do you say this, have you have tried one of these? or you don't beleive that the cheap ecu chip are any good?
  7. Maybe it is psychological, but yeah I do feel the noise from the induction seems a bit more louder or shall I say the combined noise of the kit and Milltek exhaust, but I am sure the louder part is from the induction....
  8. They cost £165, wow! I would rather chip in a bitmore and have an ECU remap done. But they do look good.
  9. Ciaran, see link here http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?185231 for forum post RE:Chip
  10. Ok finally got the chip, hey drue1 did you get one? Will be fitting next weekend along with a full service, can't wait! :-p
  11. Sorry to bring up a old post but is the Shell V power same as shell optimax ? *-) , went down to shell the other day after reading this post, put in £20 and wow, I can really feel the difference. The induction noise is now much louder! Can stop accerlerating hard lol, but the garage I found did not have optimax only V power and it costs around £1.05 a litre? IS it the same stuff?
  12. Ok so it does make sense, did'nt want to make the car look like a Saxo lol..... I will look into it. I think the K&N's are smaller than other filters so will I am sure it can go somewhere, just the hosing I am worried about not much space to work with. Will let you guy's know how it works out, got a chip of ebay and doing a service next weekend so can't wait, need every bit of BHP that can be sqeezed, I feel the need for more speed! 8-)
  13. Hello All, I was speaking to my mate and he said that he previously moved the induction kit to the front bumper and used an extended pipe leading to the air sensor bit. Basically he moved the air filter for better intake and used an extended pipe. Sounded a bit wierd to me so I thought I should run this by you guys and see what ya'll think. If it does make a performance difference then I might be up for it, on the other hand don't want to do something stupid and pointless! Cheers
  14. Fellow Members, I was wondering if the golf mk3 TDi lowering kits are suitable for the vr6. Somone once said that gti kits won't work so I was wondering about tdi's as they have a heavy motor as well. Thanks
  15. Looking good, hopefully will have mine lowered soon. Lovely colour
  16. Yip bargain for sure, I am certain the person wanted over or around £3K for it? Anyways if you fancy selling then let me know, prefer the vento's.
  17. Nice... :-p , would you mind disclosing what you paid for it, cause I saw it on for a lot of money.
  18. All the cars in SA are RHD, best give them a ring to check. btw I am southa frican and these guy's have a good reputation. Regards
  19. lewisvr6, Can you please post a bigger pic of the car, looks really low, but wicked! btw is the colour Satin Silver? Tks.
  20. Have a look here for Vento angel eyes, might cost a bit for postage though, but they are RHD's in SA. Exchange rate currently around £1=R13 give or take. Bit pricy after considering postage costs.... http://www.autostyle.co.za/prodlist.php?pid=vw&cid=Jetta%20Mk3&showall=1
