  1. Should be easy, I did a mine last month, not coilies but standard lowering dampers, you might wana invest on an impact gun, works wonders, find them in argos for around £20, also if you are going to sell the rear colies then let me know as I am looking for some?? Thanks PS; Also know a good mechanic who can do the job at your house for a good price as well.
  2. Home, 4mb broadand connection, don't have problems with other sites, just vr6oc??
  3. Found that this site is sometimes quite slow, so added it to my trusted sites on Internet Explorer which helped a little ......
  4. Yeah, Also with the belgom stuff it will be easier to repair the kerb damages as I am not very patient with the pavements :$ just sand it a little then repolish, will stick with belgom....
  5. I hate to say it but some lady's do drive better than men, glad to know she is ok.
  6. Milltek on mine, with twin rounded, I think Craggsy might have the same....
  7. Here is my attempt at compressing a vr6, not the best job but got me thinking that a baby vr will look wicked! Kinda like a Lupo jobbie but with a vr engine... :-p , what do you think?? [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1197327109_5799_FT0_untitled.jpg][/lightbox]
  8. Hello Boys and Girls, Just polished the outer lip on a set of alloys, I have been advised to use a product called Belgom Alu to protect the polished area and was wondering if it may be better to lacquer them?? Any suggestions? Thanks
  9. So that would mean mine is seriously losing fuel???
  10. 80 Miles for £20, that in my opinion is good, I get around 120 miles on a full tank, but I mainly drive it approx 7 miles a day in traffic
  11. Was having a poke around google looking for some bbs caps and came across this, appears to be a uk shop?? £200 for the set, if only I could afford it Website here.... http://www.justmatz.co.uk/products_specials.html
  12. 17's should be ok, mine is 60mm lowered with 7,5 J and cathes slightly on the arches...
  13. Well an easier method would be to undo the plastic alongside the lock on the hatch. Therafter use a screw driver and wedge the metal pin/clip. Excuse my description but it is something along those lines (been a while since i got lovcked out!), you will figure it out after you get the plastic trimming off as you will be able to see it more clearly.
  14. Yes it is the matrix, similiar thing happen to me, when parked up after driving the front window would mist up. Eventually one day the windows steamed up whilst stuck in traffic and the water started to leak out through the bottom vents and the water warning light came on, it is a pain to replace.
  15. If that was true then why would the one side be lower than the other? Surely the lowering should still be the same on both sides? Also what would be the disadvantages of not having a vr kit?
  16. Springs were already compressed and fitted to shocks, defo not coilovers. Will measure them and see what gives. Someone also mentioned that becuase they are used then it could be a bit worn??
  17. Fitted a used set of Koni's 60 mm. the springs where already fitted to the shocks, all I did was put the black round thingy at the very top and fitted them on. The shocks are damp adjustable not height?
  18. Fitted my lowering kit myself earlier this week, my friend pointed out today that the right is lower than the left? Only had the front's done, any reason why? On the left there is one finger size gap, on the right there are no gaps, your finger will not go between the tyre and arch....... Pics below, pics are not that clear but you can see what I am on about, the car is parked on a slight incline her but it is the same with parked on straight surface, also tracking has not been done yet but would that make a diffrence?
  19. My friend has 205/35/18's on his with no archwork done?
  20. VW Virgin, Looks like the new dials are slightly different, the needles are slightly above the 0's, hence you think it is idling at 1000 but is auctually below. Not quite sure about the temp but I have to say those dials look wicked! Where can I get me a set? Thanks
  21. Some pics......... [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1195743112_5799_FT207127_image_063.jpg][/lightbox] [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1195743140_5799_FT207127_image_064.jpg][/lightbox] [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1195743161_5799_FT207127_image_065.jpg][/lightbox]
  22. Phat VR6, that sounds difficult, prefer the standard method, but £60 for camber adjustment is a joke! In South Africa it is £25 complete with alignment!
