  1. not likely, as id have to offer a warrenty. but it can be done as i have proved, just take your time in getting the parts.
  2. buy the pars secondhand, it works out around the same, but you can get better quality parts. not a bad idea to work out what your aiming for, as big power will take big money.. 300 bhp is do - able for around the price of a good secondhand charger.. or go for the charger as you can make this amount of bhp from a z or vortech unit
  3. NO, if you can do a headgasket or take a head off and time a vr ( not that difficult ) then you coud do the rest.. or giveit to someone that can
  4. yep good power for less than 1500 quid.. which at this point in time is what it owes me.. so still less than a decent second hand charger.. im gonna update the thread soon in a big way, with prices for everything and names of suppliers, to lend a helping hand
  5. been therer done that.. its a expensive mistake.. still good work on the house fella.
  6. i think jake missed 3rd and got 5th in that vid. times are in the tunning thread , under best qm times 2009. anyone got anymore vids... nice pics btw.
  7. go for the bkr7e's then , about2 quid a plug, so plenty cheap and work wel.. i gapped mine to 0.24 .. no problems so far
  8. i use ngk bk7re on my turbo, so maybe a bk76e for you. depends on what other mods you have and the power etc.
  9. yep 370, plus gearbox, clutch, engine lol
  10. yeah happy with it. i wanted more bhp, but the torque curve is to die for. and it runs very well, so well we didnt tinker at all, not one bit
  11. well it made 370 bhp , and 339 lbf-ft or torques. forgot to add it had to be done in 5th gear, as 4th would not read, to much spin, and thats with a mamoth strap-on
  12. yeah, tis not bad, and it still owes me less than 1500 squid.. if i had the money , i do it with low comp pistons, etc but i see no reason why it wont hold
  13. i did have smoke coming from my race spec brake pads today, maybe i was trying to hard. its the first time ive had brake fade
  14. oh i use ngk bkre gapped to 0.24 , no problems at all. and around 2 quid per plug, so plenty cheap.
  15. bodge, yeah i got the red tops for a steal, so i kept the begi, just to add a bit more fuel, but we'll have a play tommorrow. i cant see any problems keeping it in the rollers, more how much fuel im gonna get through looking forward to tommorow.. dont worry brett, laptops in the car as we speak. it was 330 before on just the begi, so lets see, but the c2 chip has knocked 0.7 sec of my quarter mile, and that without any fine tuning. so if that s any indication, then roll on good times
  16. im using a spa stainless unit. holding up ok at the mo..
  17. righto, im off to the rolling road tommorrow. so lets , see who can get closest to the figure i get. no prizes, maybe a beer fro the winner at the pod. mods as per my sig, apart from currently at 15 psi. i reckon 380 bhp
  18. you wanna try finding a 100mm to 76mm reducer.. think ill be sourcing one from aboad, as it stil works out cheaper than buying one over here
  19. craig, mines on a headspacer with arp head bolts, it was making 330 bhp , as you know on a begi fmu, very old skool. on saturday we will find out what its kicking out now. now on c2 software, im guessng around 400bhp. spacers are fine, and its been proven time and time again, of course pistons are the proper way. but lots of yanks have made sillypower without low comp pistons. ill bring my spreadsheet with me sunday so you can see what i spent, and where. depends on budget , and how much you can do yourself. or who you can get to lend a hand
  20. just sorted him anothe maf, im sure that will olve his problem, if not im popping over tommorrow, with a hammer , gaffer tape and cable ties.. should solve at least one problem
  21. looking good kev. im after a 3 " exhaust at the mo, i think im gonna place a call to jetex, and order some bits up
