  1. I will . If i forget, do remind me.
  2. Well, now ordered so I guess we will see how it fits .
  3. Depends on what u have done, if none then all the sugesstions still stand i guess;). Looked at the coil atleast?
  4. Yes thats the one:). Thanks m8
  5. Hi I know I have seen a "clean" bootlid opener that has the opener under the list. So u get a clean but oem look. . . . . I cant find it now .
  6. The vr is prone to have bad idle. Search and u will find many ways to fix it. Have found any leaks then? I think u have to replace the thermohousinggasket everytime you remove it. . . . . .
  7. Good tip: read some build threads. Like the sticky one on the tuning page. . . . You will learn ALOT about your engine and the difference between turbo and NA (natural aspirated;)) Also read the buildthreads on Projects cars and rides. My 2cents
  8. When u buy a vr6 for the first time, what can u expect *-) What will break and how much will it cost.... This will help new guys with their problems, so hope u all like the idea. 1. Thermostat malfunction. Will make u belive that the problem is the expansiontank since its letting out boiling coolant. Solution. change the thermostat AND the housing, with the pipe going across the engine. Remember to use lube on the gaskets when asembling. Ca 60 dollars 2. Thermostat house is leaking. Solution, the same as above. 3. If your car is hessitating on accel AND your coilpack has hairline cracs in i
  9. If u have a gasket leak I dont think it will blow up if u drive off boost. If its the coil it wont boost much . . . . Just try to diagnost it and take it from there.
  10. Nice car. . . like the colour. The S3 wheels looks good on the vr6.
  11. You should be glad you have this problem. . . . seems like youre just getting adjusted to having a car with power . I have heard that wahsing the tires also can improve grip. . . . .
  12. Again, take an allen key and remowe the coilpack, if u have a crack in the casing I would be surprised if its not broken. If your car has over 120000 miles on it its gonna go soon anyway. Nearly all vr6 have this problem, and when you are running boost you really need a good coil to burn all that extra fuel. A new coil makes your engine more responsive and faster aswell .
  13. Take the coil off first . . . . if its cracked then change. . . Mine was and the car was hesitating like crazy on boost. . . . it couldnt burn the fuel, but it wasnt white smoke though. If this doesnt solve it then I would lean towards headgasket leak, but dont get depressed, it might be other things also!
  14. Not to be a jerk, but this is covered in threads before. . . search an u will find the answer regarding diagnosting thermostat failure. When u buy a VR6 just go and buy: thermostat and housing with "crackpipe". And next you are gonna need to do the chins. . . . then the coilpack will go . . . . and then the small screen that shows your miles and clock will go bananas. . . . . and most likely you will get an idleproblem. When u have fixed this (because the last owner didnt) you will be a happy camper.
  15. Thermostats are like shoes.. . . . . You dont use one pair your whole life . They are to be replaced after some time. . . . .
  16. It may be coolant. . . . Is your coolant level low or getting low fast? When did u change your plugs/leads? And is your coilpack ever been replaced?
  17. Why is it better with bigger ?
  18. As the title says, Im going 1 bar so will my tial 38 wastegare be able to keep up?
  19. Well I guess that when u removed your "suitcase" the backpressure went down. . . . and the purpose for that is to resonate unburned fuel back into the sylinders. If the fuel isnt resonated back in it will explode and make a cool flame:). A friend of mine works at an ehaustbuilder and this happens all the time when the guys with civics come in and wants 3" exhaust. They never listen to him and as a result they come back after experiencing that the engine is acting up.
  20. Is that what u call alot of snow in England? Well this is from Oslo, not my car, but mine looked the same . . . . . took 2 hours to dig it out.
  21. remember to put grease on the O ring so they dont break. . . .
  22. He he I understand, that has happend to me before aswell:). Call me so I can get your Info
