  1. Im in a pickle: Im going to USA and thinking of bringing some wheels home. Im not sure what to pick, I would prefer 16" Because of driveabillity, 17" where to big and 15" loo to small IMO. All suggestions are appreciated. No more than aproxx 500$ Sparco pista : http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=W29019600LG&wheelMake=Sparco&wheelModel=Pista&wheelFinish=Light+Grey+Painted&showRear=no&autoMake=Volkswagen&autoModel=GTi+VR6&autoYear=1995&autoModClar=&filterFinish=All&filterSize=16&filterBrand=
  2. Thanks man. Will re torque after 500 miles. But will not enough moly lube cause the torque to be off?
  3. Awesome build. Extreme attention to details. More pics of the ICE install ? .
  4. Ok, I re torqued the bolts to approx 75 ft/lbs, some where looser than others. I also changed the upper and lower intake manifold gasket and they where worn!. Rusty and leaky, so its gonna be fun to see or feel the difference, because the car has been acting up when going from engine braking to accel. Also, my ISV did have a little gap/opening, does anybody know if this is normal?
  5. If you have done this before, just go and do it. Iwe done it and i even managed to get the bushings out. Try and if you cant do it THEN send it to the shops:). Yes you have to lift the engine, but thats a piece of cake. Remember to be careful with your cv boots and when liftinh the engine try not to squeese anything:). Good luck!
  6. It might be smart to mention that I torqued them down with 65 lbs/ft. Iwe read at vwvortex that schimmel performance recomends 75. Do you guys know anything about this?
  7. Hi, I think I might have used to little grease on my headbolts. I noticed a little leak from my top so I decided to tourque them a little more. After this the leak stopped but im not sure if i should take one out .... lube it up (haha) and screw it (haha) in again. One at a time. Or take the whole top off, Lube them all and then re touque.... What do you guys think.
  8. I,m sorry to say that it seems you have a big problem on your hands. Are you sure that your clutch is disengaging? You could have a hydraulic problem that causes your clutch to not disengage. Or you might need a new gearbox .
  9. oh, and the vacum hoses....you might have a leak causing the Fuel Pressure Regullator to give wrong amount of fuel.....
  10. coolant sensor? cam sensor? Air in the coolant system(might be an airbuble trapped where the coolantsensor is.) This would have show on vagcom i thing but you never know. Are you sure the "new" coilpack is working?
  11. dont forget the coolant sensor..... its cheap and important. My coilpack wasnt working on high rpms and it made the whole car extremly jumpy. Like it was turning on and off when i put my foot down.
  12. have you checked the wires going from the gearstick to the gearbox? One of those might have hopped off and now you cant gear.
  13. I have found some bad connectionpoints on my vr the last couple of years. It could be that the lines are ok, but there is corrosion or similar in one of the connectors?!
  14. anybody? how do i check a bad lambda?
  15. Should be possisble to ground it directly in chassis. . . .. maybe not the way vw intended, but could be worth a try.
  16. I agree, thats the best way.
  17. Change to nkg bkr7e and gap to 0.23. . . . . . Clean your maf Bypass the avcr and just use a normal adjuster for now. . . . .
  18. its chipped by c2. It could be a lazy lambda because I havent heard about this before. . . . and theres alot of people using c2 chip. Is there any way to check the lambda?
  19. yes, no vagcom error . Its anoying driving the car like this.
  20. When I drive down a long hill and I use my engine to brake im getting a hessitation when putting my foot down again. . . . .
  21. dragon green rules . see my build thread in the sign.
  22. Because I tought the air going out of the breather wasnt suposed to leave the engine any other way than out the exhaust. ?! The air going out of the breather has been registered by the maf so this would have to cause overfueling.
