    ive seen a mk3 wit one in at a show.. looked horrible doesnt suit the car.. and i think it took months to fit as well..lol thats just my thoughts tho..

    yesh, yesh i have heat at last!! replaced the thermostat again £11 quid from partco, done the job..

    ive not washed my car for a week or so, and last time i did i noticed my tt's are looking slightly weathered, going to have to sort this out today.. ive run out of autosol i havent polished them since oxfordedition show..opps

    its like when we used to take the thermostats out of our RS turbos to could engine temps down, the engine runs cooler.. and in the winter we would put the stat bk in.. im going to change the stat again i think!!

    my temp doesnt get very hot, i drive to work this morn 10 miles and the temp didnt even get over the bottom mark.. it was 2 degrees outside.. the heaters were hardly warm?? dont understand it?

    if the valves were touching there would be more than a tapping noise.. and they would be bent and the car wouldnt run.. so i dont think its that tbh..

    no way ive got the same prob?? i leave the car ticking over for like a couple of mins then the heater goes cold?? dont understand it? i have replaced the thermostat, think it was the right way rnd?? the only thing ive got missing on my car is the electric aux waterpump.. would that make any difference?? its doing my head in coz its freezin.. when driving the car hardly gets to 70 degrees???

    when i done my chains, i had no mark on the crank pulley.. just put no,1 at the tdc position.. and lined up all the sprocket marks .. if u had the timing out i doubt there would be a ticking noise ne way?? prob a tappet mine did for a while, had to drive the car and get the oil nice and hot to get rid of the noise..
