    technically it does as it will have had one when it left the factory. some manufecturers, ie ford, took until about 1994 to fit them as standard. different testers obviously interpret the regulations diferently. others can just be short sighted ;-) VR6 cats seems to come in two lengths. I've got a 1992 one gathering dust somewhere

    can you get it on VAG-COM? A bad engine speed sensor will kill the spark as the ECU won't see the engine turning over.

    the metal is on the throttle body. in that case, you might get away with cutting the pipe at the split and stretching it back onto the TB

    Hi, Does the error come back once you clear it? The hall sender cleaning instructions are in the download section IIRC. But, unfortuantly, only deal with coil pack engines. The car should run with this problem, it could just be down on power and a little lumpy, maybe.

    OBD1 models do have an ISV. And a 'silencer' - a 3" lozenge shape thing - which does hiss a bit internally even when air tight. The valve itself can get clogged by oil and is easy to clean with carb cleaner. Is the problem worse when hot or cold?

    probably a fraction of what he was on before. Last season kimi was on something like 30,000,000. bit of a shame that the new silver arrows is at heart an british team and that Mclaren are using german engines otherwise it'll be like 1966 all over again,

    just the cap. is yours blue or black? the black are notorious for failing. Ben has the same problem and has started a thread in this forum about replacing the fan belt.
