  1. We don't own Saxos or Corsas so there's no street racing or sounds offs. Well maybe a little induction roar appreciation ;-) We just admire each others motors and recent mods. Help each other out with any problems / technical issues. Welcome newbies into the fold. Take a few photos. And then, on past experiance, go and find somwhere warm for a drink, maybe some food, and get excited about the Easter Nurburg trip. This time there is the opportunity to go snowboarding, or at least laugh as people fall over. TG
  2. Sounds like the same problem peeps are having with Hella Cellis rings, apart from me :-) Not sure we ever found a solution. What 'clips' do you mean?
  3. That's not true. Only the very earliest OBD1 had dizzys. A full comparison is in the FAQ: http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?106705
  4. Doesn't fix the mess he's made but makes me feels he's getting some recompense for it. http://www.planetdan.net/pics/misc/georgie.htm TG
  5. Read the Email and find out! I got one advising me that the current 'offer' is about to end. Double checked my booking, it looks the same.
  6. Well done mate. Good init? Will we be seeing you at the GTi fests at Santa Pod? TG
  7. The track closes at 19:30, sun will set at 20:15, so maybe. Depends what you plan on doing for supper. A hi-vis vest is a good idea for the 'Ring as it doubles as a slow flag in case of, errr, 'problems'.
  8. I did think everything apart from the optional extras! But the AA now say ( http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/touring_tips/AA_compulsory_equipment_january2007.doc ) that in Belgium the first aid kit and extinguisher are only recommended and that a hi-vis vest is required if you break down, new one one me. Yep, no DE on English plates, the font doesn't matter. If you get a GB sticker for your tailgate glass you should just be able to cover over the DE and flag with insulating tape. Or, as JP is doing, get GB stickers to cover over the DE part of plate. I don't now if you can get deflectors
  9. It's the main connector to the ECU. No moving parts. The wirring would be coming from the Aux pump which is near by. Can't think why tapping the connector would make the pump go faster, unless you've got some poor connections. Have you replaced the Aux pump recently, or loosing coolant?
  10. If you specifically want a VR6 - 2.8 then Ebay is your best, only, hope. And even there they don't turn up regularly. IIRC they go for £40 or so. Anyone breaking a VR should have a VR6 - DOHC version. TG
  11. One answer they got right!
  12. The long wear marks are understandable, but what's causing the pot marks? Mine showed the same. Is it something in the engine or poor injection moulding of the runners? Doubt any will have a difinitive answer, but thought I'd ask anyway! TG
  13. I know what you mean Rich. My favorite line is the one to the two Ti-fighter pilots.
  14. Dumb enough to think that invading Iraq was a good idea!
  15. Too much. PM someone local on this list http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?146266 And you can probably get it done for no more then the price of a pint.
  16. Still no VR6 for me at this meet. She can't come out of hibernation till the following Thurday :-( Just in time for UD though. But I have learnt my lesson and have arranged unlimited milage for next year.
  17. Lol! No' date=' gonna stay a 1.3 as its gonna be my daily driver and i have enough high performance fuel guzzling vw's around me!! [/quote'] I must admit that as I was scolling through the pictures, I did expect the last one to be a bonnet up shot showing a VR lump :-d Nice find. The insurance must be negligible compared to some of your monsters.
  18. Fair enough. I agree that if your not running the strip then RWYB meets are cack. Basicaly because there's nothing else to do there apart from watching rice and poxhalls. Last time I went and didn't run during the afternoon I'd have been bored shitless, if I hadn't been desperatly trying to fix up my cooling system so I could get home. Mmmm, that's not going to help convince you is it ;-) TG
  19. So whats the difference between racing people on the open road and on a sprint track? Apart from it's safer on a track ;-) Mine's a current classic and she loves to drag.
  20. I'm interested. Never been to Skeg, ain't been to the seaside in years and it'll give me an excuse to look out my hoodies ^o)
