  5. They are BBS RS 769's just 2 piece splitties just the centre comes away from the rim. I have tried just using a rachet still breaks some no matter how careful i am. Going to soak them with WD40 a few dozen times and try again
  6. started splitting my new wheels and after removing 10 bolts of one wheel 3 have snapped. Am i better using a rachet or should i use a battery drill?? i have used plenty WD40 is their any other sort of lubricant i could use??
  7. u need a decent jack. Bought a 2 ton motorsport one an it goes under my car by about 2 inches where as before i used to have to drive onto something to get my jack under. did the same thing with the numbers on the pic above lol
  8. good lad great when cars pass first time never happened to me yet

  10. My car is October 96 and is an OBD2. If it's fast then it's an OBD2 (flame suit on) :-p
  11. well can now confirm a dodgy fitted alarm done by twisting wires together with tape caused a short and blew up my coilpack and knackered my unichip officialy never using halfords again
  12. yes nothing but praise for them from me exchanged a few bits for me aswell
  13. the coilpack ignition amplifier was blown by eigther the unichip or the laserline alarm. The alarm has caused no end of hassle so it was removed and the fault persisted so the unichip was removed and the problem was sorted so pretty sure it was not the alarm but with it removed it means i will have no more bother with it!! maybe slight overkillbut at least it is going again as driving the Mrs car was doing my nut in
  14. 4250@ $2-£1=£2125+duty=fun!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. well fitte a new coilpack and it started but was slow as sin. discovered a short in the laserline alarm so it was fully removed. still it did not run properly so dissconnected my unichip and it now runs perfect if a little slower
  16. as u look at the engine left hand side behind the two rubber fuel pipes
  17. the ignition amplifier in my coilpack is dead so new coilpack for me!! where is cheapest
  18. how many years no claims u got mate?? im 24 with 4 years protected no claims and i was quoted 1200 for a standard evo7 GSR import. An evo will be as reliable as any other car as long as u make sure to service it exactly when said and don't skrimp on the parts used and make sure it warms up and cools down properly
  19. do a search im sure u can use a belt from some sort of alfa romaoe
  20. 2 of my mates have evo's one blew the engine up circa 3k for a new one although that was because he was being a tit. they are as relaible if not more reliable than my vr6 and use as much fuel as one although bits are very expensive. my mate was 500 quid for new disks and pads alone and insurance aint cheap
