  1. Ah cool! I could try for one those aswell! Theres a Corrado one for sale on ebay but the bloke wants £20 postage! Even though the coil packs pretty cheap Im not keen on paying silly postage prices
  2. Anyone know if a Corrado VR6 coil pack would work fine on a Golf VR6 engine? [ Edited ]
  3. Heres a pic of mine when I bought it - I think it has the Votex kit on it, im not too sure - Front and back looks as if it is just not sure about the sideskirts - if you know your Votex kits then let me know, save me getting cold and damp on saturday! 4. I think my car has this kit on it? Not too sure though will try and have a look and see whats imprinted into the plastic at the weekend.
  5. Mr Ben > I did try and get some to borrow but I got messed about with a set & I couldnt wait to get them done any longer - Im a bit too impatient for my own good! [ Edited Sun Feb 20 2005, 06:28PM ]
  6. It was a bloke in Dartford - I was a bit dubious to how they'd come out but they were a mess before they went it but look totally different now. Im not sure what the place is called as a mate of mine took them down there in his van for me but I can find out & let you know.
  7. After 2 weeks of my car sitting on axle stands - got my wheels back! Only cost me £100 to have them all cleaned up and to have the rims diamond cut - really pleased with them! It was getting dark so I washed it and took a quick pic [ Edited ]
  8. When it looks like this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9873&item=4527356027&rd=1 That cant be one can it!? Its got GTI wheels for a start! [ Edited ]
  9. Thats the kind of one Im after - I saw a Nuespeed one somewhere that was black & silver, must have been for a different car or I dreamt it! Im on the look out for an Eibach one or similar now then so if anybody knows somebody that knows somebody... ;0)
  10. What is it? No products on the page :0(
  11. Thanks for the replys guys - Dubloke - Is your Eibach the one your have in your avitar pic? Looks cool! Did you have any probs fitting it? I had a strut brace fitted to my Calibra ( :@!) and it helped the handling a lot! I know its a completely different car etc but I'd like to fit one for the looks aswell as the handling benefits.
  12. No help to your wiring prob but heres a pic of mine with them fitted with the white lights in, look much better & brighter in real life (I had the flash on) I think they look the nuts! [ Edited Wed Feb 16 2005, 07:30PM ]
  13. Not driven a normal VR6 setup Im afraid but from what I've found using these is that if you brake hard when the discs are cold they arent that amazing - like many brakes but when they are warm the car stops better than my mates cossie that has 320mm discs and 4 pot TVR calipers! They really do bite hard.
  14. When I fitted mine - the OE one didnt look the same as yours but my FK connectors are the same as yours and plugged straight in - could you get a couple of connectors from a breakers or something and just swap the plugs on the car over? [ Edited Wed Feb 16 2005, 02:36PM ]
  15. I would use something like - be really handy for changing oil etc - I can drip it all over your floor and not my drive! Just kidding! Its a good idea, it'd be really handy I think. £10 an hour seems quite reasonable, I'd be a bit reluctant to pay anymore than that though to work on my own car etc but depends on the situation & what Im doing to it cos I could be there for hours. Also, as binliner said - being able to book a time would be good. [ Edited Wed Feb 16 2005, 02:20PM ]
  16. 310mm Hi-Spec Discs & Green Stuff pads on the front - Note sure if the calipers are standard VR6 but are VAG of some sort if not (were on the car when I bought it) Drilled and grooved discs on the back too with standard pads - stainless steel brake lines all round. Back Set Up:
  17. Does anyone know the best way to fit a strut brace? I would have though you'd have to have the front wheels off the ground so that all the body work has no pressure on it so once the brace has been fitted nothing will be flexing or am I wrong? :@ Mines a 1997 & I've heard about probs with fiting these due to the aircon? I like the Nuespeed ones. Anyone have any experience with these?
  18. Just been working out how to show pics - worked out how to do a link not show a pic :@ First pic is of my front brake disc etc - cleaned out all the arches etc whilst the wheels are being refurbed, took the inner arch out on the drivers side and the mud etc had built up to about 8" high - could have potted a plant with what I removed! I've repainted the calipers etc now so everythings nice and clean for when the wheels go back on. Second one is of my HKS air filter - fitted by the last owner, think its from a Skyline or something. Not sure if it gives me as many extra Bhp as a BMC CDA etc
  19. I fitted mine on Sat - ordered them from Awesome & they were just a straight forward plug and play with the original VW ones on mine - a kind of rectangular/square connector with 2 pins. I did change the blue lights that come in them though because aswell as looking a bit tacky they would be illegal! Changed them for some white ones, look real good at night! 20. My pump went & luckily I have a mate who does all this sort of thing for a living and he said that it was something to do with the pump so he opened the boot - he then tried the central locking - no sound or anything so then took the pump out of its casing (behind the drivers side light) When it came out he popped off the plastic on the bottom and the circuit board was all black and it smelt bad so I guessed that was causing the probs so I managed to get one on ebay for about £40 - fitted it and its been fine since! Really easy to fit - finding one is was the hardest bit! Yours might
  21. Hi guys - does anyone know if the mirrors on the VR6 come apart? My passenger one has cracked on the thin black part on the outer edge of the mirror & ideally I just need to get a second hand mirror and swap over my colour coded piece of plastic over - is it as simple as that? They are electric - not sure if they are heated or not.
