i find 75 degrees oil temperature means i can take her over 3000 and know the internals are going to be lubricated properly and her cold cycle is completely finished. I'll take her to the rev limiter, thats why they have it there to limit yer revs, of course it doesnt stay there long! Only very very slight amounts of black smoke come out at this revs (indicates slight oil consumption at high rpms...which ii think is normal) vr is a tough little engine if its looked after properly. My oil changes are every 3k or 4 months regardless of car.

I'll tell you what, i'll get the information and specs for you, and post it in a new thread under engine's, Also have double checked invoice from my garage (v motors in harrow & weald) and its definately the t/b. Its £377.22 quid for it installed and the ecu updated. AHA! thats why my car and binliners car look different from tommy's, ours are 5 doors and have a piller in the rear window! looks alot cleaner without the pillar (but im guessing the electric windows woulde have a hard time LOL) [ Edited Fri Oct 01 2004, 11:09PM ]

everyone should start with a slower car (<2.1L). Its just better to learn to appreciate it, then when you do have a powerful car (like the vr) you learn to respect it, and in this way you save your acceleration and high top for situations that need it (like when a nova is sitting next to you at lights, cops will see this as 'jolly well played' heh). I drove a 1.6 for the first 2 years of my driving life and i'm glad i've got a 2.8 vr6 now, which is honestly the most wonderful (if not thirsty) car i've owned. Its truely a marvel to look at (once its done properly) and drive. In saying that i

s4 avant is going to be quicker than the vr, more refined in its delivery to the tarmac too, since its 4wd. Good choice, i have my eye on the a3 3.2 quattro at the moment (24k). Nice car.

Hello, I've just about finished my VR6 (still no ICE and the front/top end needs doing) But since this is going to be 'it' for a while (going back to work on monday!) i'm gonna show some pics. 17 rs4 alloys (not repilca, although they have replica VW badges [i have the audi inserts ]), perreli pzero's all round. Lowered on GMAX springs (thankyou to acf for his advice and the rest of you for the guidance on this) Large Throttle Body and Remap (206BHP, 210 FTLB, on dyno)...most cost effective mod imo. BMC CDA (is looking at me wondering why it aint been installed yet, guys i need help, my AC is

Ill PM you after i've sorted out today business. On todays agenda is new exhaust, new splitters, getting dings sorted. I'll either be selling my xenon HID retrofit (as per the link at the top) or when i can be arsed i'll stick em in the hella's and see if they look any good (in that case i'll be selling naught ). time will tell. I ordered my headlamps from the USA. If you do decide to order them (dont all rush, becuase i got em becuase i knew no one had em over here). They are about 290 quid over there which ISNT BAD. If you didnt read the quick message, my next door neighbour dinked the rear bumper with her yellow seat cupra.... then on her way back she reversed into my wheel arch... she was almost in tears so i couldnt really say much (gorgeous looker though, who the hell cares?!). All i could say is, er at least your ok. And i got a very nasty sarcastic look.
