  1. Driled airbox with a K&N air filter. Saves drilling yours and you also get a performance air filter with it, to get you going with that additive induction sound from a VR6. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mk3-Golf-VR6-Airbox-Highline-K-N-Air-Filter-GTI-Drilled-Airbox-/281350751871?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4181cfc67f
  2. Could be the earth strap on the starter motor has corroded off. One way to eliminate the starter motor, would by bump starting the car. Don't do this to often, as I don't think it's very good for the engine.
  3. You could try and make an attempt at reselling, not sure how long it would last. I would just buy a new one, to save the hassle. It might be a good idea to change the spring clips to normal jubilee clips, for easier removal.
  4. Here is a link to someone removing the door card, at the end of the video you will see the foam type barrier. If yours is missing, you could try using a plastic sheet of some type.
  5. There should be a membrane between the door card and the door. Its probably damaged or missing, causing the rain to run down the wires into your speakers
  6. Has anyone got a picture of the goodridge brake hoses. For 1997 VR6. I want to see what the fittings are like
  7. Update time. Finally found some wheels that took my fancy, they wasn't in the best colour choice. So had them stripped and started the polishing process, couldn't get them to come up as bright as the TT wheels. Must have been something to do with the metal. Trial fitted Was having second thoughts with them, but once they were fitted to the car i was more then happy.
  8. Have a look here http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?106391
  9. Mine is a 1997 R, and it has a cover on it. But saying that, i have seen many others without as well. Before i bought my VR, i saw a lot of VR's without them and it sort of put me off them. As the pedal made it look like they've been ragged quite a lot.
  10. Hi, have you tried Schmidt it self. There website is partly in English. Just fire an email off to them, and see what they come back with.
  11. The first one is, more likely that the battery has been disconnected at some time. Just make a note of it, clear the faults and check again in a few days.
  12. There is no rubber seal around the window, it should be bonded. Check your rear lights and the foam type gasket on the back of them is okay.
  13. When you order your tickets, put your name down for our clubstand. They should send you out a pass with your ticket, then just get your on the stand. All cars are welcome an there is no set number of cars allowed, so everyone is welcome. Just give it a quick wash if your not into the cleaning lark. More the merrier !!!
  14. Beer sound good. Yeah booked for the Sunday, see you there.
  15. Got my ticket booked now. Should be good, show. ^^ and don't forget my coffee Pete. LOL ^^
  16. Looking at 16's They say that ET38 might not clear the front brake discs because of the design of them. But I'm just thinking they might be easier to sell on in the future as they ET38 as you could get different size of spacers for other applications.
  17. Looking at getting a new set of rims, and i can get them with an ET25 or ET38. The place that i am looking to get them from has advised that i get the the ET25 set. But i was thinking if i buy the the ET38 set and then use a spacer of about 13mm I will we end up with an offset of ET25. Which will enable me to have more offset choice. Is this correct, and what do you think will be the best option.
  18. Looks like you guys had a top weekend. This is definitely what its all about nice one.
  19. Moved you post to the correct section. Your problem sounds like the regulator is broken, rather then the motor.
  20. If the fault has been fixed the light should go off, soon as you go for drive over 20mph. If it hasn't your best bet would be to get it on vagcom to see if its the sensor at fault or something else.
