  1. Get the car on VAG com, I am having a similar problem at the minute myself. Aftermarket alarm and immob removed, but factory one now has no code in it so won't run. Going to get keys programmed some day in work, will keep ypu posted
  2. A little problem I have encountered on cars in the past with remote central locking is locks seizing up. So once in a while use your keys to avoid this happening.
  3. My standard ones don't fit too well over the standard speakers anyway. As for your query try a sharan or something like that would be the only thing I can think of. On a side note, having worked for VW just a little side note to everyone else most of the highline trim is no longer available so if you ever get a chance to get some second hand, grab it with both hands
  4. Might possibly be a switch on the siern to turn the noise off, will still have the flashing lights though
  5. Thanks mate, just waiting on a few dry hours to get this done now lol
  6. Plans are now a foot with this, as soon as the job front is sorted out. Spec on car, as in pics Coilovers (don't know the make, were on car when I bought it) Schmidt TH lines, 7.5 front, 9 rear ( running solitudes over the winter) Powerflow exhaust, cat back. Now the plans. New engine New coilovers Paint correction, must see Toph about that Vento front, gathering dust in my spare room and as I like it running low, some form of sump guard lol
  7. Car parks are a nightmare, I park as far from other cars as possible, then when I get home and wash the car I always find a new ding or score somewhere, I have thought about putting some cones in the but and coning off the spaces around me. Am I being too extreme lol?
  8. Yeah, pump primes and get ignition lights, hazzard lights come on and the immobilizer in the alarm has kicked in. Having spoken to a local alarm specialist the factory immobilizer allows the car to turn over, but the Scorpion one won't as it stops the starter getting power from what they say. Does this sound right?
  9. Tried the sensor, going to remove both the alarm and immobilizer mate. Need the car for a job interview so as far as I caan see removing the whole thing is my only option. Will stick a new alarm in when I get the money gathered up.
  10. Going to remove the whole thing, any help or ideas guys, or anyone with a wiring diagram? Please guys, head is starting to go, and the box of matches are looking more and more appealing. That and girlfriend is not impressed as we have to use her car all the time. Please help!!!!!!!
  11. I have a 97 Vr Higline, with a scopion 918 alarm. I started the car the other day and drove it over home, left it sitting for 2 days. I had a broken bonnet cable, so the only way to replace this was to inscrew the latch from the slam panel. Got this problem sorted, but now my alarm goes off every time I open a door, bonnet etc.. The immobilizer has kicked in and now all I get is the clicking from the relay in the alarm control unit, all dash lights etc come on, and there is also a buzzing from the engine, from reading other threads I think this is the aux water pump? So now I'm stuck, have
  12. If the car had been sitting for a while and battery voltage had dropped, could this set the immobilizer off? Car was sitting for a bout 3 weeks not moving before I got round to looking at it?
  13. 2 butoon and a hole, with pins and slider on the side mate
