    finally have had my arches removed i'm keeping the side trims and bumper tops black as i prefer this to fully colour codes personally next step is roof spoiler to be colour coded then ????? ? ? ?

    unfortunately it isn't . . .it is a 24valve version, with totally different internals. . .and no you can't put the 24valve head on a 12v block . . . i've checked

    mine had a leak from where the two rubber pipes to and from the injector rail joined the plastic pipes to and from the tank. . . they are under the master cylinder . . . . rubber pipes had cracked

    part number should be something like 021 906 256 or 021 997 256 bx post any numbers on it and i'll let you know which is corrrect

    i personally like the vento front on a golf BUT you gotta use the right grille - the later style doesn't look as good as the early one . . . . .

    all you can do is find any aluminium parts you wanna polish, remove them from the engine, and rub and rub and rub and rub and rub and rub some more with wet and dry paper. . . start with harsh paper (120 grit) then work your way through 240 then 400 then 600 then 800 then 1200 grit papers to remove the scratches. . . .after that use some "autosol" (from halfords) to bring up the shine !!!!!!!! then your aluminium bits should look like this> p.s it'll take ages . .about3 times longer than you want it to
