  1. For the V-Power users out there chance to save a couple of quid tomorrow For one day only on Friday 12 November 2010, Shell will reduce the price of Shell V-Power Unleaded and Shell V-Power Diesel by 5p per litre (compared to the previous day’s price) at participating Shell service stations. http://www.shell.co.uk/home/content/gbr/products_services/on_the_road/fuels/promotions/
  2. If you shop in Sainsbury's then it's £27.99 when you spend £30 in store. Think this is the best deal at the moment. Bestbuy had it at £29.99 but that was yesterday only. Not played it yet so cannot help with the other question
  3. Hopefully getting mine today after work
  4. Brought a smile to my face http://cars.uk.msn.com/features/photos.aspx?cp-documentid=155052290
  5. Finally found one for the wife & I must say I am very impressed with it. Drive is so smooth & it does 40mpg around town :-). The torque is great in standard form so I can imagine what a chipped one is like. On the lookout for another one for myself now to replace my Mk2 as my everyday car.
  6. I have this kit & really like it. May have a discount code for it as well you need one?
  7. Give Darren a call & tell him Zak gave you his number. he may still be there now as he usually works late.
  8. Try VW enterprise in Camberwell,SE17 3HJ 020 7703 8689 & ask for Darren
  9. About 218BHP - Just needs a supercharger now!
  10. I have a MKII 16v with a 2.0L ABF engine in it. It pushes out over 170BHP. My VR is modded (see sig) so maybe not the comparison that you are looking for but the VR is in a different league & my 16v feels slow when I get back into it after driving the VR. The 16v does seem more chuckable though!
  11. Always wanted an S3 & still thinking about picking one up if a good one at the right price comes up
  12. My other car is MKII 16v Golf with a 2ltr ABF engine in it. I use it more than the VR as is cheaper to run & I am less fussy about where I park it etc. Want to sell it soon & get a MK4 TDI as my run around. Did not plan on having two cars but now I have for the last 1.5 years think it's worth it if you can afford it.
  13. Yes he does' date=' have you had any experience withhim or have you heard of his cowboy work. [/quote'] I know him to say hello (knod of head) to as I used to have a friend who lived right next to him & he was always cruising about in his BMW Convertible. Did not know that he worked on cars. Let us know how it goes. Also anyone wanting bodywork done I have great guy in West London who has done loads of cars for me & friends over the years
  14. I'm originally from Battersea & think I may know this guy. If it's the same guy I assume that he still lives near Battersea Tech College?
  15. Congrats - our daugther came seven weeks early so spent the first two weeks in an incubator which seemed like an age at the time. But once out they catch up real quick & she is 100% fine now at seven months.
  16. Did you manage to get some insurance?
  17. Tony you know my thoughts on this. Go for it with a decent plan, hard work & your mech. skills you cannot fail. If your cut out for it working for yourself is much better than being at the mercy of other peoples decisions. It can be hard at first but when done correctly you will look back & wonder why you did not do it sooner.
  18. ok thanks guys will connect the blue \ white from the car to the stereo amp feed & see if the reception improves
  19. ok had a look at my ISO Harness & got the following. Brown = Negative, Red \ White Perm Live, Grey \ White = Ilumination, Brown \ Red = Ignition Live & White \ Blue - Which I assume should be the power for the aerial? There is also a plain blue wire but it looks this is the amp trigger left in by the prvious owner as I can see the end of it in the boot. Not sure if he would have tapped that into the aerial power?
  20. Been suffering from crap radio reception so pulled out the stereo to have a look & found that the above wire is missing. I have looked as far back into the dash following the aerial coax & still cannot see the wire. Any suggestions please?
  21. Thanks for all your help - got it sorted now. There is no way I would have attempted this without all the advice. So thanks again :-)
  22. as above if you can take the pasanger seat out through the drivers side (unclip from the front and slide back out of sliders) this will make it so much easyer then just hook something under the bottom of door card and unclip enough to get your hand in you will feel the back of the handle follow the rod that goes between handle and lock and you should be good from there.....good luck... Thanks sitll at work at the moment. Hope I get back home early enough to give this a try today. Also hope taking out the seat is as easy as you made it sound!
