  1. Hi mate, I would get it checked out to be 100% sure that it is the chains just to be sure. I got my my parts from TPS rather than GSF. Here is a link to the guide in the premium members section for changing chains & it includes the part numbers as well. You will also need coolant & a clutch if your changing that as well. http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?107739 If you have no one to do the work then Tonyvrsc has done mine & quite a few other members so drop him a pm if you want more info.
  2. Your on a slippery slope mate as that was my thinking at the start, now I could open a cleaning store with all the products that I have :-)
  3. Ben check out www.detalingworld.co.uk & it will get a lot worse on your wallet!
  4. Just renewed & now both my cars are with Chris Knott who were over £100 cheaper than Brentacre who I had been with for a few years now. Paying just over £400 on the VR & £300 on the MK2 16V :-)
  5. Agree with Nat Tony is your man if you cannot do them yourself
  6. Have no issues with friends who I trust driving it when I'm with them, Wife is yet to drive it despite me nagging her to since I got it a year ago. Would not trust her to park it without kerbing my wheels though
  7. Still need to get mine in as well - cannot wait :-)
  8. Lord of the Rings Trilogy Shawshank Redemption Crash First 3 Star Wars House Party
  9. Hi Mate, There was a recent group buy here http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?329544 I'm going with the 6000k 55w kit from here www.hids4u.co.uk
  10. I agree with Bungy look at the 312 option first unless you are going for silly power. Rears do not do that much so personally would not upgrade these in size - just use better pads & get new discs if the current ones have seen better days. Consider changing your brake fluid at the time on the upgrade as well if this has not been done recently
  11. Reviewed here http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/total_tyre_guide/213177/tyre_test.html Think they are ok but there are better options out there
  12. If you take Nat up on her offer then I have a friend who runs a bodyshop in Southall who could spray them for you as well as sort any other bits that may need doing
  13. Hi Tim, My Insurance is due end of this month so will call you today for a quote. I know it's not your catchline but I am hoping you can quote me happy :-)
  14. How much power you planning on running as the 312mm upgrade may be another option?

    Mot

The sad thing is a lot of peeps would have just paid the £216 for each light. Do not think I have ever let an MOT place work on my cars cause I aways want a 2nd opinion & chances are it can be done better & cheaper elsewhere if it needs doing at all.
  16. I get about the same maybe a touch less on the motorway
  17. not on the VR but my MKII 16v. Any ideas what could cause this?
  18. I recommend Black Diamond grooved discs or plain originals from TPS or GSF if you want a cheaper option, If your doing your pads as well then Ferrodo 2500's will not let you down
  19. Hi, Is there any reason that you think it will not pass? If not just take it for the MOT & if it fails get a decent garage to do the work for it to pass if your not confident about the MOT place doing it. tonyvrsc does a lot of work for people off here including me so may be worth asking him otherwise there is VW Enterprise in Camberell who know there stuff & are reasonably priced & there is always stealth racing if your prepared to drive up there.
  20. Yeah seen the W7 but the W6 is more than enough, I have two brand new ones that never made it into my previous car & I want to keep as much boot space as possible hence only using one of them. Cannot wait to get it all fitted as what I have in there at the moment is terrible. I'll keep you updated with things & will more than likley include it in my long overdue build thread
