    where is the bolt on the engine? pics would be great and if i unbolt it to check it will it just bolt straight back in without fillin it with oil?????? ps would taking the wiring harness off the coilpack suffice to crank it without firing??

    were 80% sure its either track rod ends or ball joint the problem is theres no obvious play anyway its rock solid

    good point i was on 5-40 instead of 10-40 havnt seen any smoke since and im VERY paranoid every noise makes me nervous lol

    does easing the throttle back on instead of stomping on it aleviate the problem iv seen smoke from mine once

    iv change the arb drop links and just had the suspension top mounts changed but iv STILL got a very annoying clunk when locking the steering over any sugestions appreciated ps nothing seems to be loose

    u need the tool to wind them in for starters pete mine were a little stiff when i changed the rear pads theres a vw specialist on makro industrial estate off the a34 in chesterton i think hes called kilokiller on here good bloke and very helpfull knowledgeable

    do u need to fill an obd2 bolt with oil before u start it is it a manifold off job and do u NEED a torque spanner or can u guess it??

    possibly rear pads u need the proper tool to wind the calipers in if ur doin them urself
