i get wot your saying but i dont think thatyou will be able to do that cos ov where and how it bolts up if you got mate in tyre and exhaust place he should be able to fabricate something a lot better and stronger to do the job mate i found the best place to bolt it to was on the driver side rear chassis type bar would reccommend you get em to weld a new bracket on to the chassis there cos that bar that was supplied really is useless mate and if you use that i guarantee you will end up removing it and finding something to substitute it so best just getting whole new bar made.
-
no its the flat piece that goes along up and along a bit more with hole in it to bolt to floor ov car it just bends.
-
the spare bracket bar that bolts to body work allthough i did tell the bloke i sold it too so he may have replaced it already as it still got the rubber wedged onnit holding the spare bracket to the 2nd exit
-
as long as you have crossovers most new stereos run at 40-50 watts per channel which is ample i like to take a bit ov the bass outta my components 2 and have my bass from sub .
-
whatever you use has to be able to cope with extreme temperatures otherwise it wont stay on very long oh and be sure to give em real good clean up before painting aswell.
-
oh if you need any spare hands to help you fix give me a shout mate.
-
yo mate didnt your oil cooler hose pop the other week my old car done pretty much the same thing oil cooler blew hose within a month head gasket was knackered personally i think its the start ov things when the oil cooler hose goes .
-
nope you can get cheaper than that i got mine from a little back street vw audi repairist for £40 brand new and original vw part
-
only cut out a little bit mate you wouldnt notice if i did take a picture ov it mate good job really cos it would look real bad if id done it properly as i have single exit exhaust now.just cut out straight line about a 3mm up from bottom ov bumper where 2nd exit was.
-
cool, it does give a pukka sound mate.
-
mine was done at exhaust place they just used a nibbler on it allthough it was far from perfect.
-
lol isnt it, yes get the spare bracket replaced with summit stronger also i found it helped to spacer rear box mounts with washers so it not so tight to floor but as i said before it could just be where my car has had rear end damage.
-
just thought id mention some ov the lower range stereos dont have as many rca preouts for amps aswell all though i find the front components can run very loud off head unit so then you just need amp and sub personally i got 1000w infinity 12" running off alpine 400w v12 amp oh and if your near to midlands i can reccommend purchasing from donnington market my amp cost 95 and my sub cost 90, im not saying you should get this just giving you an idea ov wot i got and how much it cost .oh and infinity make pukka component speakers.

see if you can still check this ebay item its the 1 i had and sold see if it same 1 item no 7901260464
-
well the bracket that was supplied for 2nd exit wasnt strong eneough to keep 2nd exit in position properly and also where it was such a tight fit it just kept rumbling up on floor possibly where my car has had rear damage before but i believe its because main rear silencer is too big for where it needs go if you send me a picture i will let you know if it is same system.

thats a really useful chart could have done with that ages ago nice 1 acf.
-
yes i too would suggest checking your temp sender to water gauge your oil temp should stay between 80-110 so that sounds fine.
-
what you have to do is unbolt old backbox and remove depending on how long its been on this can be a mission itself anyways after that you fit your new backbox thenline up where you want the second exit you then need to work out where to put bracket to fit 2nd exit .once youve done all ov this all thats left to do is cut a chunk ov your bumper away where the second exit sits.hope this helps but still say its so much easier to chuck an exhaust fitter £20 and then watch them struggle with it.oh and i do do most ov my own repairs generally cos i dont trust garages.
-
is it a motex 1 mate if so they are real tight fit i found it easier to just go to exhaust place to get it fitted and took mine off within a week was not impressed.
-
had that checked a couple ov times mate and car is perfect in straightline even at speeds in excess ov hundred miles an hour its just under hard braking at speed.
-
well ive replaced wishbones full suspension kit all engine mounts brand new wheels and tyres and new pads and discs and under high speed breaking im having a similar problem only thing ive left to try is breakfluid which is pretty rough mud colour if this does not sort it im gonna chuck it on me mates brake rollers to check the balance.
-
ive had et35 and et37 but the et35 needed spacers so i dont think they will but im not positive on that .
