  1. +1 on sky insurnace, they knocked £50 off my premium and £100 off excess.
  2. I'm sure I've seen log books for sale at shows. Might be worth having a look round when they start up again next year...if you can wait that long.
  3. Agree with the above apart from the last bit, my P reg highline aint got them. Aren't they fitted when a towbar is put on at the factory so you can lower the angle of the dangle when you have extra weight on the back?

    OUCH

Nasty! See how less inclined he was to boot it after picking his way through the wreckage...don't blame him for that!
  5. Quite clearly a lot of work has gone into that!! Side exhaust FTW! :-d
  6. Hello welcome to the site, your car sounds cool!! What power is it putting out?

That peugot was bogged down with every halfrauds bolt on going....ok, it had a v6 lump in it, but so much other shit, subs etc that it was always gonna be way too heavy.

    Same here......fits a treat.
  11. Ok, just spoken to Stealth and they advised that it is only the middle set of mounts that can be changed. The rear ones have a metal insert (as jonno said earlier I think) and so you can only use VAG mounts They advised that Mk3 Escourt mounts are the best replacement for the middle mounts so I'm gonna pop down to the local garage and pick up a couple of them.
  12. Well, it seems like its common thing. I phoned powerflex yesterday and although thier website says 1 type of mount, the guy thought I would need 2 different ones.....but he couldn't be certain which ones I would need either. I phoned Demon Tweeks......who powerflex suggested I talk to......and they couldn't even tell me.....he said I would be best to try and measure the ones on there and match them to the diagrams on the powerflex website. I can't believe no one knows what exhaust mounts I need.
  13. Cheers Rix Nerith....I'm getting them to stop it from swinging left to right more than anything.....don't think they will make the exhuast sit any higher...they should be the same size as the normal ones....just stiffer....well hopefully anyways
  14. I'm gonna need a whole new rear bumper when I get my exhaust straightened then....its melted
  15. I think they hold the heavier aftermarked exhaust systems in place better. So the Audi ones, you mentioned just the centre box, iirc they are all the sam eso I should be able to use them in all four positions.....rear box as well?
  16. I've had my sills fixed recently....mine were all squashed like everyone elses it would seem. I have jacked up from the body work just further in from the sills....I found this broke the rubbery protective layer though....so decided against it. If you remove the splitter (if possible) from the front of the car you can jack it off a trolley jack at the front. And I think you can jack off the rear beam as well.....I'm not sure about that though.
  17. I spoke to awesome gti earlier about getting some powerflex exhaust mounts. The guy said there was a choice of 2 available and that I should find out which ones i need from the powerflex site then let them know and they would get them......most helpfull!! Anuway....i've looked at the site and as far as I can work out I need to get 4 off EXH006 as can be seen on the link below. Am I being really stupid and missing something or are they definately the one I want? powerflex link Cheers peeps !lol
  18. There was one shot from behind when he went round a corner and put his foot down and you see the back end drop and the thing just fly away....awesome....I want one
  19. I agree......it really isn't that hard to do......it is as simple as 3 bolts on each front and two bolts on each rear. You don't even need spring clamps as you take the entire assy out in one lump. And yes, I also set them to as low as they go and ended up trapping the jack under the car
