  5. I know Warren, I thought that the other day....I was too not with it for the entire weekend to use my brain
  6. My car has been back in today, they have diagnosed the clunk as the diff &| Apparently its only moving about a millimeter but it makes the noise so thats gotta be it. Its gonna cost me alot of money, plus any worn bits in the gear box would be replaced as well. I would get a years unlimited mileage warranty on the work also. I will be getting the worse case scenario quote tonight when I pick it up.
  7. Lookin sweeeet Simon.....as has been said look just as good in the flash as it does in the piccies.....not many motors can do that
  8. I had to use the bus the other day to go and pay a bill in Braintree. It cost
  9. Stoke is a long way to go for me Did you have to strip some the car out Pete, or did they do that as well mate. There aren't many more places to go in our area
  10. Are you getting rust done as well Pete? Will they be cutting it out and welding in new plates etc? There wasn't a huge difference in Bibbys and Charismas quotes, both i'm sure would do a a very proffesional job as both have very good facilites, Bibby did spot a few more bits and would be doing quite alot more. As you say Justin, they do do a very good job, and it reflects in his business and reputation as they do do alot of high profile work.
  11. Right over the last few days i've had three quotes to get the rust sorted on my rear arches, the arches rolled and then then painted. The first quote was from Fulfords in Colchester (some of you will know them) they quoted 650-700 + vat to just roll the arches and treat the existing metal and paint the 4 corners. Next was Carisma, who do pimp my ride uk, they seemed alot better with thier evaluation and also facilities and would cut the rear acrhes out and weld in new ones (better then just treating the metal imo) I'm certain this would be a better job than fulfords. They quoted 750-800 + vat
  12. I'm surprised they let you drive off if it was over the limit, did they have the testing machines on them? My mate wasted nearly 2 hours from about 2 am in the morning afetr he picked his sister up from a club and got pulled....they made him remove it there and then.
  13. Chances are if you can get to the Ragley Hall meet you will be able to pick one up for about 25 quid.
  14. They replace the whole bit, from under the headlight to the bonnet. There was one going on ebay this morning when I was looking http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/De-badged-grille-Badgeless-Grill-VW-Golf-MK3-FK-Auto_W0QQitemZ7998129635QQcategoryZ43118QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Postage is steep though.
  15. I think 2 oilrigs went walkies in the sea near america due to the hurricane. We are just basically paying extra for them to find them and return them to production.....I don't see that just 2 rigs would make this much of a difference though....its just the greedy oil companies. It was 99.9p for optimax yesterday round here....its probably gone up since then though.
  16. It does indeed look very tidy.....a good job done there fella
  17. Very rare and much better looking imo.
  18. get it up harris.....does he have a guest book we can abuse?
  19. Man thats harsh....I would be crying if that happened to me. Really feel for you mate, and as said by others hope you get it sorted.
  20. Up for up and down for down....simple I got it completely wrong when I fitted mine....ended up lowering the car and not being able to move the trolly jack....looked feckin awesome though
