i might be along in the leon, depends where u lot wanna travel to for a night out after. worcester is close and there's cheltenham(a few chavs there mind) but tewkesbury is a big no no tbf! its my birthday that day so dependant on what my other buddies wanna do i'd be up for it on that basis! its up to the majority mind so its down to the rest of you to make a decision! might be able to get a few of the worcs cgti guys there too!
looking good for a white vr, not a popular choice but looks good on the rims. needs that visit to planet slam mind. reminds of bens old mk3 vr b4 he sold it!
i have a scorpion 2 box system and the ram air dustbin too, mines quite loud tbh, but i like it tlike that. most peeps who come in the car any distance say the same, or comment on the noise, but i'm used to it now i guess!
plus the fact that chargers, unless they come with a bespoke chip are not obd1/2 specific, usually. you'd need it mapped to your individual car anyway as all cars are different!
i was thinking that, but the leon would open a fresh can of whoopass on a lot of vr's and i dont reckon that would go down well at all! plus after mowing most of the grass for them last year when i arrived i'm not sure i fancy that again as its a bit lower now!
friday night jake, there'll be quite a few of us there already by early on friday afternoon! i'm planning on meeting up with a few peeps from bristol/gloucester around 11, so as its roughly an hour and a half away from me, should be around the 2 o'clock area at worst!
i'm defo going friday now but unsure if i'll be taking the leon or the vr! only down to the fact i cant put more than a packet of frozen peas in the back without it grounding out everywhere, and before anyone says, i aint raising the suspension! the cupra on the other hand is a good equipment carrier and i cant justify bringing both!
to damn right you'll be sticking round claire, i'll be hounding you if you dont, club just wont be the same without you. and i'll kidnap you if you dont attend at least a couple of shows a year and force you to endure my high speed driving and loud music. if you're really stubborn i'll make you watch rich get very drunk on wodka and try playing knock the coconut off with my wing mirrors again!
where do you get all your money from jake, i wish i had your conviction, and funds, to continue along the same route but i think mine has run its course. will be a sad day indeed. yours is gonna be a fresh can of whoopass when its done for those would be supercars out there! well done!
i doubt it fella as the whole front panel is part of the fan set up on the mk3. you could go for an aftemarket fan setup with an in-car controller, but it would be easier, safer and cheaper to just replace the pump.
yeah, thats gareths! a grant motorsport production! 50 miles to a tenner is about right for average driving tbh, given that fuel prices mean thats only 2 gallons of fuel and 25mpg is a reasonable average for day to day driving in all conditions!
go have a look at gareth spillers beast next time you get to a show. first 24v conversion on itb's in the uk at least i reckon! sounds awesome on full chat!
heard that four motions have a lot of unreliability problems, not sure if thats the case but have heard some right horror stories regarding a lot of different aspects to them. the 1.8t maybe a bit souless compared to a v6 noise but is infinately more tunable for power at a relatively lower cost to your pocket. and it can be made into a car with soul, but you gotta love the noise of a v6! ultimately it depends on what you want to do with the car in terms of power/running costs and overall modifications when looking into long term ownership and potential!
excellent thread topic steve, and much appreciated from me as well as the other mods to i would believe. valid points all round and we need to be on top of things for the next few months until we get back on track after the websitte updates and changes. bear with us people, we'll be back to full strength soon with help from everyone!
