  6. Looking good mate.. Glad my photo on Facebook gave you some inspiration It's a long long road, but worth it in the end.. With regards to your manifold, I can recommend vapour blasting, leaves a really nice matt finish that's what I did then polished the faces of the inlets. Pete

  8. Hehe spoke to Vince yesterday, he can run upto around 35 cars, the day will get started at 0900.
  9. Good on you for expressing your opinion on insurance, I agree it's a pain in the arse, and no doubt there is price fixing and too many variables such as location, numbers stolen in that area, price of parts should you need make an insurance claim etc.. Age has very little to do with price these days. I'm happy with my price, 210 a year fully comp, I'm 29 and have all mods declared.
  10. Could always stay night before? I did a trip stealth from stoke today, about 85 miles each way, still got quarter of a tank left.

  14. Well done mate! Not bad for an old shed giving the major a run for its money now?
  15. I can tell you that corrado have the TRW rack..... i'm sure vag-cat will tell you what rack is for your car.
  16. Hi mate, Those crack pipes are a pesky thing, If you don't give the block a good clean where the lip is you can guarantee it will leak, a dremel or some scotch pads usually helps clean it all up. What I would have done personally would have been to fill the system up with just water before adding any coolant, ran the engine until you were happy there was no leaks, drain the water and then add your coolant. For jobs like these, id recommend a drain pan or something similar to catch any coolant and re-use as required. drain pans are around 15 quid, and worth every penny
  17. Hi Ben, Excellent, looking forward to meeting up, as we are heading towards the high 20's there wont be a need to take deposits. I was only planning to introduce a deposit if we around the minimum number of cars, however there is a lot of interest, so just hope people don't let us down
  18. Anyone interested in doing this as a club? Something different I suppose?
  19. Nice!! I've seen people epoxy resin them, however it looks like the plastic has degraded due to the constant heating up and cooling down. Have you had any running problems / arching on the coil pack at al?
  20. What style engine bay do you like the most, and why?
