I seem to having difficulty getting a pair of these. Tps = discontinued Andrew pages do have them either. I don't really want to use euro car parts nor Gsf as I'm fed up with returning faulty parts. Any where else I can try?

I'm not fussed about mine at the mine I need to sort other things Track rod ends and anti roll bar drop links are my main concern and the need to do the stat and cts's too

It's not going to be driven hard Most of the time it's driven on the motorway and on weekends. For example the last time it moved was Sunday evening from a 100 mile run. Use a van daily for work. So it's a weekend toy really

Yeah I've read that the gearbox can only take 400bhp. I'm going to get a progressive map done rather than an aggressive one to try and prolong the life of things like drive shafts etc.

I'm planning on making my car a 3.0L turbo tuning a L.S.D. So will be a stage 2 map running about 450 bhp. Is this going to be wise on a front wheel drive car. I have a genuine vr passat so going to keep with the 2.8 12v concidering how rare these cars are. And I'm worried that there's going to be no traction. Who's running big bhp and can tell me how there cars are running. Thanks.

All vw's after 97 had the engine capacity on the engine covers. And still do. Probably just to tie it in with the rest.

Funny enough I have to do the same to mine. It's just time consuming mostly. All the plugs are different so you can't mix them up. The only issue is not losing any screws and remembering which one is for where.

I'm doing a turbo build (well starting to save up) I'm going to be getting it bored out to 3.0L and forged Pistons etc. As I know of a corrado which did 700bhp on a 2.8 12v motor but also got converted to 4 motion. Think I'm going for stage 2

Going to bore it to 3.0L with forged rods and Pistons. Then bolt a turbo on. Well that's the plan.

I'm doing it the same way. Stockpiling the parts and building one that way. But I still have to pay a mate to help me out. And I'm not using a head spacer

I'm going to get another engine and rebuild it (well a mate will rebuild it). But for now I want some more power. Other than just a remap with my ported 2.9 tb I thought some cams would go nicely and get better value from the map.

Well according to the website that sells them cams. They won't warrant them unless there fitted with there lifters which come in at €199.99. So total price is €400 plus shipping. Which it will be cheaper in pounds sterling but not much. It says +12 bhp But I have already got fitted a 2.9 intake. I have a ported 2.9 tb to fit and a 2.5" stainless exhaust to go on. So with a remap I should see a good gain. But I'm looking at around £700 for about 25-50ish bhp. But getting the cams now will come in when I do the rest for the turbo. And doing the 3.0l I van go straight to the stage 2.

Them cams I looked at are 199.99€ I want to keep this engine in as these passats are rare. Mine I one of 13 left out of 27 sold in the U.K. I'm planning on turbo'ing it but not going down the spacer route. It's getting bore out and forged. 3.0L turbo vr6 and probably the only one in the UK. In a Passat (genuine one)

Cheers I'll have a look. I did look for brake disc protectors and some cam up but not for vw.
