  1. I'd be happy to place an order with cash up front (paypal). I reckon you need a bigger order than just 2 of us to get the buying power though, to bring costs down to a sensible level.
  2. No tractor tyres this time iceman!!! :-)
  3. I'll have a mug, keyring etc. I'd have a hoodie to if it wasn't black!
  4. When I previously vic'd a car of mine it was purely to check the vehicle I.d was all present and correct. Mine was a cat c write off, it was a punto jtd elx. I believe there is a certain member of our club with a soft spot for these high power Italian machines!
  5. How many millions of miles from Essex will it be?
  6. Go for the bugatti wheels, I've not seen those on a mk3 before.
  7. Sod the fuel!.... For me it's all about the noise and the fun of the occasional blat against a more modern warm hatch. St150, seat Ibiza fr and an Astra turbo have fallen victim to my golf to date. I am fortunate to have other vehicles though, so don't mind £40 of shell v power every couple of weeks
  8. I toyed with the idea of a vr6 for a year before I bought the one I have now. I accidentally won a salsa green colour concept with vr6 transplant on eBay and went down to wales to collect it. I loved the car and it was really good on the body and inside, the only problem was, it wouldn't hold it's water! The end result was that I walked away, 500 mile round trip for nothing! 1 week later I bought a car 5 miles up the road and saved myself £500. Keep your eyes peeled and one'll turn up when least expected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I use a Lucas product which does the trick, it's cheap too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. if you have a warm ring lukey, that'll be down to a dodgy Indian..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I'm sure this is worn rings, this is what happened with my series 2 turbo. Would only puff smoke when backed off the throttle. My rebuild on that cost £1300 several years ago, but the performance was fantastic after it was run in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I have to say, although I'm not a fan of DRL's , those look factory fitted. Good job! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I feel your pain! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. When I had my series 2 turbo, it smoked on overrun, that turned out to be the rings, smoke on start up was always stem seals on that cvh engine AFAIK. Are these vr's different? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah, there's gotta be some honk mixed in with that paint somewhere, it's proper grim. And the body kit! WTF is that all about? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. That green one is something else, I think the idea for this mod came about after a week long bender of class A's mixed with alcohol. I can only imagine the amount of pondering that must have taken place, among which must have been the question, "shall I fuck it up or shall I really fuck it up?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Oh my god, my eyes!!!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Apparently oil usage is a common thing on these engines. If you do a search on this forum you'll find quite a bit on the subject, I would think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    So,..

If you can ever get your hands on parlinka, that's well worth a try. It's popular in Eastern Europe and is made from plums..... I think. Needless to say, when you can't possibly drink any more of it, you can then clean your windows on yer vr, degrease your engine or maybe use it for octane booster in your tank. It is serious "falling down water"! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. How are the rear subframe bushes? I believe they need replacement occasionally. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Looking good sep, can't wait to see some paint laid on it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. You had a good day by the looks of things. Good work!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Well that's no wonder Pete, when you're talking that kind of performance! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
