I have been told by a pro independent VW mechanic that my engine is in excellent shape. But I checked oil on it a few months back and it was nearly at the top, let's say 3/4 of the rough or "safe" patch was covered in oil. I checked it today and about 2/3 to 1/3 of it was covered in oil. Is this thing burning oil? There is no smoke coming out of it. I drive tons of highway driving, drive hard and have about 230xxxkms on it. Any tips?
